Tasting Colombian momposino cheese(EN-ES)
Greetings, my dear food-loving friends. I hope you are doing very well, enjoying health and well-being.
A few days ago, talking to one of my most frequent clients about the daily food that I missed most from my country, I told her that I miss Venezuelan cheese and breads very much, because here, although I have tasted many cheeses, I think that similar to those made in my homeland there are none here. It was then when she recommended me to try a momposino type cheese that they sell in D1 stores, a very well known supermarket.
She told me about the texture and taste of this cheese, and his enthusiasm was so contagious that I decided to look for it. I found it and as my curiosity was greater, I bought it, without thinking much about it, to taste it.
The next day, we prepared some hot and toasted arepitas, as I like them, to taste this cheese. While the kitchen was filled with the aroma of toasted arepas, I took out the cheese that comes wrapped, like a roll of string, in a vacuum-sealed plastic and put it on the table.

Hace unos días, hablando con una de mis clientas más frecuentes acerca de la comida diaria que más extrañaba de mi país, le dije que extraño mucho el queso y los panes venezolanos, pues aquí, aunque he probado muchos quesos, pienso que parecidos a los que hacen en mi tierra no hay. Fue entonces cuando ella me recomendó que probara un queso tipo momposino que venden en las tiendas D1, un supermercado muy conocido.
Me habló de la textura y del sabor de este queso, y su entusiasmo fue tan contagioso que decidí buscarlo. Lo encontré y como la curiosidad era más grande, lo compré, sin pensarlo mucho, para degustarlo.
Al día siguiente, preparamos unas arepitas bien calientes y tostaditas, como me gustan, para degustar este queso. Mientras la cocina se llenaba con el aroma de arepas tostadas, saqué el queso que viene envuelto, como un rollo de hilo, en un plástico cerrado al vacío y lo puse en la mesa.

This is a fresh cheese made with cow's milk, semi-hard and fatty, produced in Mompós, a Colombian town. When I began to chop it, I realized that it is indeed spun, because as I chopped it, it came out like threads.
It is delicious, I loved it with hot arepita, but I can also imagine it with French bread or crackers. I can't compare it with any of the cheeses I miss so much, but for me, who loves cheese, it is a very tasty option. When I saw my client again, I thanked her for the recommendation.
Definitely, these conversations with my customers make me think how lucky I am, because these small moments of exchange enrich my day to day.
Este es un queso fresco hecho con leche de vaca, semiduro y graso que lo producen en Mompós, un pueblo colombiano. Cuando comencé a picarlo me di cuenta que, ciertamente, es hilado, pues a medida que lo iba picando, iban saliendo como hilos.
Les cuento que es delicioso, me encantó con la arepita caliente, pero también me lo imagino con pan francés o con unas galletitas. No puedo compararlo con ninguno de los quesos que tanto extraño, pero, para mí, que amo el queso, es una opción muy sabrosa. Cuando volví a ver a mi clienta, le agradecí por la recomendación.
Definitivamente, estas conversaciones con mis clientes me hacen pensar en lo afortunada que soy, pues esos pequeños momentos de intercambio, enriquecen mi día a día.

Amiga eso he escuchado mucho que por fuera es difícil encontrar quesos con el sabor de los de aquí, por lo menos te gustó ese aunque no se parezca a los de nosotros.
