Practicing loops for my new bracelet (EN-ES)

Since I started the costume jewelry course, I have been excited with every class, but especially with the homework that the teacher leaves us, because that's where I really test what I have learned. Last week she left us with an assignment that I found challenging: to make rings and join them together in a delicate way and with a harmonious pattern to form a bracelet.
At first, I thought it would be easier, but as soon as I started practicing I realized that it required a lot of patience and precision. I had to try to make the loops even, of the same size and tightly closed so that the bracelet would not fall apart. So I sat down calmly, took out my materials, my pliers, and started working step by step.

Desde que comencé el curso de bisutería, me he sentido entusiasmada con cada clase, pero especialmente con las tareas que nos deja la profesora, porque es ahí donde de verdad pongo a prueba lo aprendido. La semana pasada nos dejó una tarea que me pareció retadora: hacer argollas y unirlas de una forma delicada y con un patrón armonioso para formar una pulsera.
Al principio, pensé que sería más sencillo, pero en cuanto comencé a practicar me di cuenta de que requería bastante paciencia y precisión. Debía tratar de hacer que las argollas quedaran parejas, del mismo tamaño y bien cerradas para que la pulsera no se desarme. Así que me senté con calma, saqué mis materiales, mis pinzas, y comencé a trabajar paso a paso.
What made a big difference this time was a new tool I bought: a straight cutting plier. Before, when I used the other pliers that came with the kit, the cuts were not very delicate and that made it more difficult to put the rings together cleanly. But this new plier makes such polished cuts that the work has become much smoother and tidier for me. This is one of the right tools for this type of work and it has made the creation process much easier for me.
Lo que marcó una gran diferencia esta vez fue una nueva herramienta que me compré: una pinza de corte recto. Antes, cuando usaba la otra pinza que trajo el estuche, los cortes me quedaban poco delicados y eso hacía más difícil unir las argollas de manera limpia. Pero esta nueva pinza hace cortes tan pulidos que el trabajo se me ha hecho mucho más fluido y prolijo. Esta que es una de las herramientas adecuadas para este tipo de trabajo me ha facilitado mucho el proceso de creación.

All these evenings I have been practicing for a while. It relaxes me to sit down and work on something that requires concentration and detail. I have been advancing carefully, checking that each ring is well made and that the union with the others maintains a harmonious shape. I know I'm just starting and I need a lot of practice to be able to do a more polished job, so I'm not yet working with the finest material, but I like what I've done so far with aluminum and copper.
What I like most about this course, besides everything I am learning in terms of techniques, is that I am cultivating patience, concentration and attention to detail. I am excited to continue advancing and for all that I have yet to discover in this beautiful world of jewelry.
Todas estas noches me he puesto a practicar un rato. A mí me relaja sentarme a trabajar en algo que requiere concentración y detalle. He ido avanzando con cuidado, revisando que cada argolla esté bien hecha y que la unión con las demás mantenga una forma armónica. Sé que apenas estoy comenzando y me falta mucha práctica para poder hacer un trabajo más pulido, por eso todavía no estoy trabajando con el material más fino, pero me gusta lo que he hecho hasta hora con aluminio y cobre.
Lo que más me gusta de este curso, además de todo lo que estoy aprendiendo en cuanto a técnicas, es que cultivo la paciencia, la concentración y el cuidado de los detalles. Estoy emocionada por seguir avanzando y por todo lo que aún me falta por descubrir en este mundo tan lindo de la bisutería.

Buenísimo amiga, con esas pinzas sí se pueden hacer cosas muy interesantes porque ciertamente queda limpio los cortes y pueden quedar bien cerraditas las argollas. Te quedó bien chévere.

Hermosa pulsera amiga me encanta que estés entusiasmada con el curso y que estés haciendo las tareas, los cortes de las Argollas te quedaron muy bien, pero si las cortas con segueta e joyero el corte es perfecto te dejo ese dato.
Hermoso proyecto fue uno de los primeros que se hacen cuando iniciamos un curso de bisutería 😉
Sííí, estoy entusiasmada. Por aquí, sigo practicando, amiga. ¿Segueta de joyero? No sabía que existía, le preguntaré a la profe. Estoy esperando otra pinza plana que compré, pero lisa, como con almohaditas de silicón, porque la que tengo marca el material con el que estoy trabajando. Son muchos los jugueticos que hay que comprar para trabajar este arte de la bisutería y el alambrismo. Un abrazo.
