Paw print charm, the perfect accent for your bag🐾
Greetings and blessings, my dear crafting friends. I hope you’re all doing well and staying healthy, and that this week brings you plenty of productivity and creative projects.
For this Monday with needles, I’ll tell you that this past weekend I had a very special commission: a crocheted charm shaped like a puppy paw print to decorate a bag. As soon as I was asked to make it, I knew I was going to enjoy it immensely, because these kinds of small pieces have something very special about them: they’re quick and cute.
I chose my favorite 50% viscose and 50% acrylic yarns, which have a soft finish and a very subtle sheen. For the colors, I went with a warm combination: a deep brown for the paw pads and a dark beige for the base. I love how these tones complement each other and give it that cozy, natural feel.

Para este lunes de aguja, les cuento que para este fin de semana pasado tuve un encargo muy especial: un charm tejido en forma de huellita de perrito para decorar un bolso. Apenas me lo pidieron, supe que lo iba a disfrutar muchísimo, porque este tipo de piezas pequeñas tienen algo muy especial: son rápidas y lindas.
Elegí mis hilos favoritos de 50% viscosa y 50% acrílico que tienen un acabado suave y un brillo muy sutil. Para los colores, me fui por una combinación cálida: un marrón profundo para las almohadillas de la huella y un beige oscuro para la base. Me encanta cómo estos tonos se complementan y le dan ese aire acogedor y natural.
The little paw print is very easy to crochet, using single, half, and double crochet stitches, so it’s the perfect project to enjoy without any hassle. Plus, it comes together really fast, and that always gives you that satisfying sense of accomplishment.
To add that finishing touch, I attached a gold-plated steel carabiner—it’s practical and gives it an elegant, pretty finish for hanging on a bag. And since I love spoiling my customers, I decided to give her a little crocheted heart to go with the little paw print. It was that extra touch that made everything even more special.
When I handed it to her, her reaction said it all: she was happy. And I, with a happy heart, confirmed once again that crocheting also creates moments full of joy. 🧶✨
La huellita se teje muy fácil, usando puntos bajos, medios y altos, así que es un proyecto perfecto para disfrutar sin complicaciones. Además, avanza rapidísimo, y eso siempre da una satisfacción inmediata que complace.
Para darle ese toque final, le añadí un mosquetón de acero dorado que es práctico y le da un acabado elegante y bonito para colgar en el bolso. Y como me encanta consentir a mis clientas, decidí regalarle un pequeño corazón tejido para que acompañara la huellita. Fue ese detalle extra que hizo todo aún más especial.
Cuando se lo entregué, su reacción lo dijo todo: quedó feliz. Y yo, con el corazón contento, confirmando una vez más que tejer también crea momentos llenos de alegría. 🧶✨
