Greetings, my dear Ladies of Hive. I hope you are doing very well with abundant health and well-being, and that these days are of harmony and peace for all of you.

I share my participation in the #216 edition of the contest to which the Ladies of Hive invite us, weekly. On this occasion, I am going to answer one of the questions that our friend @irenenavarroart has proposed for this week.

1️⃣ Everyone has a hobby or passion for something and this is part of your personality, although some of us have common tastes. What topic could you spend hours talking about if you had the opportunity?

Saludos, mis queridas Damas de Hive. Espero que se encuentren muy bien con abundante salud y bienestar, y que estos días sean de armonía y paz para todas.

Comparto mi participación en la edición #216 del concurso al que nos invitan, semanalmente, las Damas de Hive. En esta ocasión, voy a responder una de las preguntas que nos ha propuesto la amiga @irenenavarroart para esta semana.

1️⃣ Todo el mundo tiene una afición o pasión por algo y esto forma parte de su personalidad, aunque algunos tengamos gustos comunes. ¿Sobre qué tema podrías pasar horas hablando si tuvieras la oportunidad?

It's true that everyone has a passion, something that lights up their eyes and makes their heart race when they speak. For me, that passion is the art of creating things with my hands. Ever since I was a little girl, I have always been fascinated by transforming simple materials into something beautiful and unique. I could spend hours talking about knitting, embroidery, crafts and how each project tells a very special life story.

I feel so much excitement and passion when choosing colors, thinking about details, and, above all, imagining how something as simple as a thread or a piece of wood can become something useful or decorative. It's magical. I also love sharing my hobby with others, whether it's teaching what I know in a workshop or giving away something I've made. Seeing someone's face when they receive something made with dedication is priceless.

Es cierto que todo el mundo tiene una pasión, algo que le ilumina los ojos y le acelera el corazón al hablar. Para mí, esa pasión es el arte de crear cosas con las manos. Desde pequeña, siempre he sentido fascinación por transformar materiales simples en algo hermoso y único. Podría pasar horas hablando sobre tejidos, bordados, manualidades y cómo cada proyecto cuenta una historia de vida muy especial.

Siento mucha emoción y pasión al elegir los colores, pensar en los detalles, y, sobre todo, imaginar cómo algo tan sencillo como un hilo o un pedazo de madera puede convertirse en algo útil o decorativo. Es mágico. También me encanta compartir mi afición con otros, ya sea enseñando lo que sé en un taller o regalando algo hecho por mí. Ver la cara de alguien al recibir algo hecho con dedicación no tiene precio.

The best thing is that these passions often connect people. So, I have had long conversations with other craft lovers, exchanging ideas, techniques and tips. And even if our creations are different, we are united by the pleasure of making something with our own hands.

Lo mejor es que estas pasiones suelen conectar a las personas. Así, he tenido largas conversaciones con otros amantes de las manualidades, intercambiando ideas, técnicas y consejos. Y aunque nuestras creaciones sean distintas, nos une el placer de hacer algo con nuestras propias manos.
