Our Visit to the Bogotá Planetarium🪐🔭
Greetings, dear friends of #lifestyle. I hope you’re all doing well and enjoying good health and well-being.
Today we went out to run some errands, and as we were walking, we realized the Planetarium was very close by. We weren’t going to let that opportunity pass us by, so we changed our plans a bit and went inside to check it out.
Although there were no special programs or shows in the dome that day, the visit was completely worth it. As soon as we started the tour, we came across an exhibit on galaxies and nebulae that completely fascinated me. I’ve always found it incredible to think about everything that exists beyond our planet, and seeing those images so full of color, light, and surprising shapes was an experience I thoroughly enjoyed. I spent several minutes looking at each one.
I also really enjoyed seeing models of some of the most important space telescopes, such as the Hubble, the Gaia mission, and the James Webb. Thinking about everything they’ve helped us discover about the universe makes you appreciate the work of science and human curiosity even more.

Hoy salimos a hacer unas diligencias y, mientras caminábamos, nos dimos cuenta de que el Planetario estaba muy cerca. No íbamos a dejar pasar esa oportunidad, así que cambiamos un poco los planes y entramos a conocerlo.
Aunque ese día no había una programación especial ni funciones en el domo, la visita valió completamente la pena. Apenas comenzamos el recorrido nos encontramos con una exposición sobre galaxias y nebulosas que me dejó fascinada. Siempre me ha parecido increíble pensar en todo lo que existe más allá de nuestro planeta, y ver esas imágenes tan llenas de color, luz y formas sorprendentes fue una experiencia que disfruté muchísimo. Me quedé varios minutos observando cada una.
También me gustó mucho poder ver los modelos de algunos de los telescopios espaciales más importantes, como el Hubble, la misión Gaia y el James Webb. Pensar en todo lo que han permitido descubrir sobre el universo hace que uno valore aún más el trabajo de la ciencia y la curiosidad humana.
One thing I really loved was discovering that the Planetarium also has spaces designed to spark the interest of the youngest visitors. There are interactive areas where children can learn through play and exploration. We also visited the Astroteca, the Planetarium’s library—a truly welcoming place that, as part of its programming, offers storytime sessions for both children and adults. I thought it was a wonderful initiative because it combines science with a love of reading.
It was an unexpected, unplanned visit, but we enjoyed it very much, and it left us wanting to come back to enjoy some of its activities and continue discovering a little more about the universe.
Algo que me encantó fue descubrir que el Planetario también tiene espacios pensados para despertar el interés de los más pequeños. Hay áreas interactivas donde los niños pueden aprender jugando y explorando. Además, conocimos la Astroteca, la biblioteca del Planetario, un lugar realmente acogedor que, entre su programación, ofrece horas de lectura tanto para niños como para adultos. Me pareció una iniciativa maravillosa porque combina la ciencia con el gusto por la lectura.
Fue una visita inesperada, no planeada, pero que disfrutamos mucho y nos dejó con ganas de volver para disfrutar alguna de sus actividades y seguir descubriendo un poquito más del universo.
