Greetings and blessings, my dear creative friends. I hope you are all doing well and staying healthy.

Today I want to share a craft project I made with a lot of dedication and a lot of heart. It turns out that a while back, I had crocheted several little hearts using leftover yarn. I saved them while I thought about what I could do with them. Until one of these days, almost by chance, I found myself holding a white T-shirt I had recently bought. At that very moment, as they say, inspiration struck. I looked at it and knew immediately: this is where my little crocheted hearts belong.

At first, it wasn’t all that straightforward. I faced the dilemma of whether to sew them on or glue them. I wanted them to be really secure, but I also wanted the finish to be clean and pretty. So I did a little research on fabric glues, reading reviews and looking for something reliable. Luckily, I found one from the Roseta brand with great reviews, and I decided to give it a try.

With that settled, I got excited, gathered everything, and got to work.

Hoy quiero compartirles una manualidad que hice con mucha dedicación y mucho corazón. Resulta que hace un tiempo había tejido varios corazoncitos pequeños, usando sobrantes de ovillos. Los guardé, mientras pensaba qué podía hacer con ellos. Hasta que un en estos días, casi por casualidad, tuve en mis manos una franela blanca que había comprado recientemente. En ese preciso momento, como decimos, me llegó la musa. La miré y supe de inmediato: es aquí donde van mis corazoncitos tejidos.

Al principio no todo fue tan directo. Me surgió el dilema de si debía coserlos o pegarlos. Quería que quedaran bien firmes, pero también que el acabado fuera limpio y bonito. Así que me puse a investigar un poco sobre pegamentos textiles, leyendo opiniones y buscando algo confiable. Por suerte conseguí uno de la marca Roseta, con muy buenas referencias, y decidí probarlo.

Con eso resuelto, me entusiasmé, reuní todo y me puse manos a la obra.

Materials:

• A white T-shirt (or any color you prefer)
• Crocheted hearts (they can be different sizes and colors)
• Fabric glue.
• Lots of creativity and a desire to create.

Materiales:

• Una franela blanca (o del color que prefieras)
• Corazones tejidos (pueden ser de diferentes tamaños y colores)
• Pegamento textil
• Mucha creatividad y ganas de crear

Step by step:

  1. First, I spread the flannel out flat on a smooth surface so I could work comfortably.

  2. Then I gathered all my little crocheted hearts and started arranging them without gluing them down yet, trying out different combinations. I loved this step because it’s where you play with the colors and decide on the design’s harmony.

  3. I decided to place them around the neckline, aiming for a balanced look.

  4. Once I was satisfied with the arrangement, I gradually applied fabric glue to the back of each heart.

  5. I carefully glued them in place, pressing gently to ensure they adhered properly.

  6. I let it dry for the recommended time, avoiding moving the garment so the finish would be perfect.

And just like that, from something as simple as some leftover yarn turned into cute little hearts and a basic T-shirt, a unique and colorful garment was born. I loved it, and I hope this idea inspires you as much as it did me.

Paso a paso:

  1. Primero, extendĂ­ bien la franela sobre una superficie plana para trabajar con comodidad.

  2. Luego tomé todos mis corazoncitos tejidos y empecé a organizarlos, sin pegarlos todavía, probando diferentes combinaciones. Este paso me encantó, porque es donde uno juega con los colores y decide la armonía del diseño.

  3. DecidĂ­ colocarlos alrededor del borde del cuello, buscando que se vieran equilibrados.

  4. Una vez estuve satisfecha con la distribuciĂłn, fui aplicando poco a poco el pegamento textil en la parte trasera de cada corazĂłn.

  5. Los fui pegando con cuidado, presionando suavemente para asegurar que quedaran bien adheridos.

  6. Dejé secar el tiempo recomendado, evitando mover la prenda para que el acabado quedara perfecto.

Y así, de algo tan sencillo como unos restos de hilo convertidos en unos corazoncitos lindos y una franela básica, nació una prenda única y llena de color. A mí me encantó, espero que esta idea las inspire tanto como a mí.
