Handmade elastic bracelets đź’Žđź’–
Greetings and blessings, my dear creative friends. I hope you are all well and blessed with good health and happiness.
Yesterday was a holiday here in Colombia, and I took advantage of the day to go to the mall where I usually buy supplies for my jewelry pieces. I went because I needed some 18-gauge wire, but I ended up finding something I’d been wanting to try for a while: 0.7mm elastic cord for making clasp-free bracelets. As soon as I saw it, I knew it was the perfect time to give it a try.
When I got home, I laid out all the materials on the table and began working at my own pace. I love the moment of preparing every detail, combining colors, and watching as the pieces gradually begin to take shape. This time I made some elastic bracelets with 3mm and 4mm Murano beads in various colors and some in shades of blue, combined with Goldfield beads, and I really enjoyed the whole process because they’re easy to make and turn out very delicate.

Ayer fue lunes festivo aquĂ en Colombia y aprovechĂ© el dĂa para ir al centro comercial donde normalmente compro los insumos para mis piezas de joyerĂa. Iba porque me hacĂa falta alambre nĂşmero 18, pero terminĂ© encontrando algo que querĂa probar desde hace rato: hilo elástico de 0.7 para hacer pulseras sin broche. Apenas lo vi, supe que era el momento perfecto para intentarlo.
Cuando lleguĂ© a casa organicĂ© todos los materiales sobre la mesa y comencĂ© a trabajar tranquilamente. Me encanta el momento de preparar cada detalle, combinar colores y ver cĂłmo poco a poco las piezas empiezan a tomar forma. Esta vez elaborĂ© unas pulseras elásticas con muranos de 3 mm y 4 mm de colores variados y unas de tonos azules, combinados con balines goldfield, y la verdad disfrutĂ© muchĂsimo todo el proceso porque son fáciles de hacer y quedan muy delicadas.

Step by Step
Cut the thread
The first thing I did was cut a piece of elastic thread about 25 centimeters long. I like to leave it a little longer so I can work comfortably and tie the knots properly at the end.Stringing the Murano beads.
Next, I began stringing the Murano beads onto the cord. I placed the Murano beads in groups of five, separating them with goldfield beads. Little by little, the bracelet took shape, and I began to notice how beautiful the combination of materials looked.
I really liked the contrast between the Murano beads and the subtle shimmer of the goldfield beads. They’re small details, but they make the piece look elegant and delicate at the same time.Adjusting the size
As I added the pieces, I checked the size to make sure the bracelet would fit comfortably on the wrist. That’s one of the advantages of working with elastic thread: the bracelets are easy to wear and don’t need a clasp.Tying the knots
Once I finished adding all the materials, I tied several knots to secure the bracelet firmly. This step is important to ensure it’s durable and can be worn every day without any issues.
In the end, I was very happy with the result. Sometimes the simplest projects are the ones I enjoy making the most. These bracelets turned out delicate, comfortable, and very versatile for pairing with different outfits.

Cortar el hilo
Lo primero que hice fue cortar un pedazo de hilo elástico de aproximadamente 25 centĂmetros. Me gusta dejar un poco más de largo para trabajar con comodidad y poder hacer bien los nudos al final.Insertar los muranos
DespuĂ©s empecĂ© a insertar los muranos en el hilo. Fui colocando los muranos de cinco en cinco y separándolos con los balines goldfield. Poco a poco la pulsera fue tomando forma y empecĂ© a notar lo bonita que se veĂa la combinaciĂłn de materiales.
Me gustó mucho el contraste entre los muranos y el brillo sutil de los balines. Son detalles pequeños, pero hacen que la pieza se vea elegante y delicada al mismo tiempo.Ajustar el tamaño
A medida que iba agregando las piezas, revisaba el tamaño para asegurarme de que la pulsera quedara cómoda en la muñeca. Esa es una de las ventajas de trabajar con hilo elástico: las pulseras son fáciles de usar y no necesitan broche.Hacer los nudos
Cuando terminĂ© de insertar todos los materiales, hice varios nudos para asegurar bien la pulsera. Este paso es importante para que quede resistente y pueda usarse todos los dĂas sin problema.
Al final quedé muy contenta con el resultado. A veces los proyectos más sencillos son los que más disfruto hacer. Estas pulseras quedaron delicadas, cómodas y muy versátiles para combinar con diferentes looks.
