Granny bags, yarns that turn into gifts🧶🎁

Happy Friday, my dear knitting friends! I hope you are all well, healthy, and happy.🌹

Today I want to share a project that has kept me very busy and happy these past few days 😊. A client who is also a friend asked me to make her two little bags using granny squares. She chose the colors herself because she wanted to give them as gifts, and from the start I thought her combinations were beautiful.🎁

The best part is that I had exactly those colors at home. They were balls of yarn that I had already used in other projects, and I had just the right amount left over to give them new life in these little bags. That's a double reason for me to be happy: first, because I was able to fulfill my friend's wish exactly, and second, because I love to use up even the leftover yarn. There's nothing more satisfying than seeing what seemed like little or “leftovers” turn into a beautiful and useful gift.💖🎁

Hoy quiero compartirles un proyecto que me tuvo muy entretenida y feliz estos días 😊. Una clienta que además es amiga me pidió que le hiciera dos bolsitos a partir de grannys. Ella misma escogió los colores porque quería regalarlos, y desde el principio me pareció que sus combinaciones eran preciosas.🎁

Lo mejor de todo es que tenía justamente esos colores en casa. Eran ovillos que ya había utilizado en otros proyectos y me quedaban las cantidades perfectas para darles nueva vida en estos bolsitos. Eso para mí es un doble motivo de alegría: primero, porque pude cumplir con exactitud el deseo de mi amiga, y segundo, porque me encanta aprovechar hasta los restos de lana. No hay nada más satisfactorio que ver cómo lo que parecía poco o “sobrante” se convierte en un detalle hermoso y útil.💖🎁

The result was two charming little bags, full of color. I loved the combinations, and I know the person who will receive them will too, because they are her favorite colors, and my friend knows that well.💖

I feel that knitting projects like these is a way of bringing people, colors, and stories of love together. And, what's more, it's nice to be able to say that nothing goes to waste, that every strand finds its place in a unique and special creation like the ones I'm showing you today. 🌸🧶

El resultado fueron dos bolsitos encantadores, llenos de color. Me encantaron las combinaciones y sé que a la persona que los recibirá también porque son sus colores favoritos y mi amiga bien lo sabe.💖

Siento que tejer estos proyectos así son una manera de unir personas, colores e historias de cariño. Y, además, es lindo poder decir que nada se desperdicia, que cada hebra encuentra su lugar en una creación única y especial como estas que les muestro hoy. 🌸🧶
