Getting to know La Calera, an unexpected stroll💚
Happy New Year to all, my dear friends. I hope this will be a year of abundant blessings of health, joy, and dreams come true.
Yesterday, January 1, we went on an unplanned outing that ended up being very rewarding. It all came about quite simply, without too much thought, just a desire to get out and enjoy the day. We started with a walk, as usual on the first day of the year, with my husband, my daughter, and me, and of course we took Blacky, who always accompanies us with all his energy.
While we were walking, my son-in-law, who was working, managed to catch up with us later in his car. At that moment, without planning it, he took us into the mountains to see a little more. That's how we arrived at La Calera, a Colombian municipality in the department of Cundinamarca, which welcomed us with incredible landscapes, surrounded by nature and a truly delightful climate.
Feliz Año Nuevo para todos, mis queridos amigos. Espero que este sea un año de abundantes bendiciones de salud, alegrías y sueños materializados.
Ayer, 1 de enero, hicimos un paseo que no estaba planeado y que terminó siendo muy gratificante. Todo surgió de manera sencilla, sin pensarlo demasiado, solo con ganas de salir y aprovechar el día. Empezamos con una caminata, como de costumbre cada primer día del año para continuar con el hábito, íbamos mi esposo, mi hija y yo, y por supuesto, nos llevamos a Blacky, que siempre nos acompaña con toda su energía.
Mientras caminábamos, mi yerno, que estaba trabajando, logró alcanzarnos más tarde en su carro. En ese momento, sin planearlo, nos llevó montaña adentro para conocer un poco más. Así llegamos a La Calera, un municipio colombiano del departamento de Cundinamarca que nos recibió con paisajes increíbles, rodeados de mucha naturaleza y un clima realmente delicioso.

The trip was peaceful and full of pleasant moments. We enjoyed the fresh air, the roads, and the beautiful view around us. I felt a special peace being there, far from the noise, sharing with my family and letting the day flow by, without rushing. Blacky also enjoyed the fresh air from the car window.
It was a simple outing, but a very meaningful one. It reminded me how important it is to allow ourselves these spaces, to break out of our routine and let ourselves be surprised by the places nearby that we sometimes don't know. We returned home with happy hearts, grateful for the day and for having started the year in such a beautiful way, surrounded by nature.
El viaje fue tranquilo y lleno de momentos agradables. Disfrutamos del aire fresco, las carreteras y las hermosas vistas que nos rodeaban. Sentí una paz especial al estar allí, lejos del ruido, compartiendo con mi familia y dejando que el día transcurriera sin prisas. Blacky también disfrutó del aire fresco desde la ventanilla del carro.
Fue un paseo sencillo, pero muy significativo. Me recordó lo importante que es permitirnos estos espacios, salir de la rutina y dejarnos sorprender por los lugares cercanos que a veces no conocemos. Volvimos a casa con el corazón contento, agradecidos por el día y por haber comenzado el año de una forma tan bonita y plena de naturaleza.
