Gabo Festival 2026: An experience worth having
Greetings, dear friends of #lifestyle. I hope you’re all doing well and enjoying good health and well-being.
This weekend, I had the opportunity to attend the 14th annual Gabo 2026 Festival with my daughter. I’d been looking forward to this experience for a long time, and sharing it with her made it even more special. I love it when we can come together for activities that invite us to learn, talk, and see the world from different perspectives.
After checking in, we received a personalized QR code that we had to present both to enter the event and to access each of the activities on the program. The whole process was very well organized, which allowed us to enjoy the atmosphere from the very first moment.

Este fin de semana tuve la oportunidad de asistir junto a mi hija al Festival Gabo 2026, en su decimocuarta edición. Desde hace tiempo tenía muchas ganas de vivir esta experiencia y compartirla con ella hizo que fuera aún más especial. Me encanta cuando podemos coincidir en actividades que nos invitan a aprender, conversar y mirar el mundo desde otras perspectivas.
Después de realizar el registro recibimos un código QR personalizado que debíamos presentar tanto para ingresar al evento como para acceder a cada una de las actividades de la programación. Todo el proceso fue muy organizado, lo que permitió disfrutar del ambiente desde el primer momento.

The talk we attended was titled “Of Hallucinating Men and Historic Women” and brought together journalists and writers Leila Guerriero from Argentina, Marcos Giralt Torrente from Spain, and Cristian Alarcón from Chile, with Óscar Martínez from El Salvador serving as moderator. During the conversation, they shared their experiences on the art of creating characters, observing real people closely, and translating their nuances and emotions into writing, enabling readers to connect deeply with each story.
La charla a la que asistimos se tituló "De hombres alucinados y mujeres históricas" y reunió a los periodistas y escritores Leila Guerriero, de Argentina; Marcos Giralt Torrente, de España; y Cristian Alarcón, de Chile, con la moderación de Óscar Martínez, de El Salvador. Durante la conversación compartieron sus experiencias sobre el arte de crear personajes, de observar con atención a las personas reales y de trasladar sus matices y emociones a la escritura, logrando que el lector conecte profundamente con cada historia.

It was a very enriching conversation. When the talk ended, we decided to take a walk around the neighborhood to make the most of the beautiful day Bogotá had given us. The weather was perfect, and we strolled leisurely through the streets, talking about everything we’d heard. I love it when our outings end like this—enjoying the city and spending time with my daughter.
Fue una conversación muy enriquecedora. Al terminar la charla decidimos caminar por los alrededores para aprovechar el hermoso día que nos regaló Bogotá. El clima estaba perfecto y recorrimos las calles con calma, conversando sobre todo lo que habíamos escuchado. Me encanta cuando nuestras salidas terminas así, disfrutando la ciudad y compartiendo tiempo con mi hija.
