From paper to reality (EN-ES)

Greetings to all my needle-loving friends who make life in this community. I hope you are all well, with lots of health and wellness and that this is the best week possible for all of you, with many projects and new illusions.

I'm back to share with you on this #NeedleWorkMonday, the joy of having finished embroidering the kit I bought a few days ago and that I told you about in this post.

Well, after days embroidering with a lot of dedication and, although I followed the instructions, at some point, I got distracted and made a mistake. I realized this one only when I was assembling the photos for this publication. I thought about undoing the embroidery and remedying the mistake, but no, I'll leave it at that, as it seems to me that it is part of the process and the instant I was embroidering. Who knows what I was thinking when I didn't make the thread change so instead of embroidering some lavender flowers, I embroidered a sprig of green leaves.

Estoy de vuelta para compartir con ustedes en este #NeedleWorkMonday, la alegría de haber terminado el bordado del kit que compré hace unos días y que les conté en esta publicación.

Pues bien, luego de días bordando con mucha dedicación y, aunque seguí las instrucciones, en algún momento, me distraje y cometí un error. Me di cuenta de este sólo cuando estaba montando las fotos para esta publicación. Pensé en deshacer el bordado y remediar el error, pero no, lo dejaré así, pues me parece que es parte del proceso y del instante en el que bordaba. Quién sabe en qué estaba pensando cuando no hice el cambio de hilo para en vez de bordar unas flores de lavanda, bordé una ramita de hojas verde.🙈

Anyway, I found the result beautiful. I find it wonderful to compare what I see on the paper and what was finally embroidered on the fabric.

Now, I have between my eyebrows to make a decorative project for my house with this embroidery, with the other one that was the first one I bought and embroidered on the fabric in green background, and with an embroidery made by my mother and that she gave me before coming to Bogota.

De todas maneras, el resultado me pareció hermoso. Me parece maravilloso hacer la comparación de lo que veo en el papel y lo que, finalmente, quedó bordado en la tela.

Ahora, tengo entre ceja y ceja hacer un proyecto decorativo para mi casa con este bordado, con el otro que fue el primero que compré y bordé en la tela en fondo verde, y con un bordado hecho por mi madre y que me regaló antes de venirme a Bogotá.

This cross stitch embroidery of my mom's is very precious to me. I remember when she embroidered it, and I will treasure it forever. I want to have it framed to keep it longer and to decorate the wall where I have the coffee table with her picture. When I make this wish come true I will show it to you.

Este bordado de mi mamá en punto de cruz es muy valioso para mí. Recuerdo cuando lo bordó, y lo atesoraré por siempre. Quiero mandarlo a enmarcar para conservarlo por más tiempo y decorar la pared donde tengo la mesita con su foto. Cuando haga realidad este deseo se los mostraré.
