Embroidered bookmarks, testing soluble templates🔖📚

Greetings and blessings, my dear needlework friends. I hope you are all in good health and spirits and that you have a very productive week.

Today, on this new Monday of needlework, I come to share something that makes me especially happy. I bring you another bookmark, but this time with a different detail: it is embroidered. For some time now, I had been saving some soluble templates that I had bought in December and which, for one reason or another, were still waiting for their turn. I felt curious, enthusiastic and also a little apprehensive, so I decided to try them out on a small and delicate project like this bookmark.

The idea was to try them out, get a good understanding of how to use them, and calmly see what the final result looked like before I decided to do something bigger. And the truth is that it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The templates turned out to be very easy to work with; they adhere well to the fabric and allow you to embroider with peace of mind, without fear of the design moving or getting lost. That makes the process very enjoyable.

As I progressed with the stitches, I realised how neat the embroidery looked. Everything looked clean and tidy, just the way I like it. But the moment that surprised me the most was the end: that moment when the piece is washed, the template material gently dissolves and only the embroidery remains on the fabric. It's almost magical to see it happen.

This little bookmark fulfilled its mission. It allowed me to learn, experiment and gain confidence. Now I feel ready to use these soluble templates on larger projects, with more time and more stitches.
