Donuts to sweeten family traditions
Greetings and blessings, dear friends of #lifestyle. I hope you are doing very well, with health and wellness, and that these days are of abundant blessings in the company of your loved ones.
Last Saturday, during our walk to Avenida Chile mall, I decided to make a special stop at Dunkin Donuts to buy our favorite donuts. I knew it would be a perfect treat to spoil my daughter and her husband, who were making their first hallacas together as a family. Such a meaningful moment for them couldn't happen without a sweet touch.
While I was choosing the donuts, I imagined their faces of joy when they saw them. I took advantage of the Paga 5 y lleva 6 promotion and chose a variety of flavors so that everyone could enjoy their favorite: strawberry, arequipe, honey, oreo and two of the ones filled with pastry cream that are my favorites. All of them irresistible! My husband and I ate our donuts on site, accompanying them with a divine coffee. The perfect combination for a Saturday afternoon snack.
I arrived at my daughter's house just in time for a break. They looked enthusiastic, if a bit tired, preparing the leaves and the stew in full action.
The donuts were a total success and helped them to renew their strength to continue with the work. They were following our instructions to the letter, because they took the initiative to start the tradition of making their hallacas, and I cannot describe the emotion I felt when I tasted the stew that was ready, it was exquisite! I can tell you that they are excellent disciples.
That day was very special: the walk, the donuts, the hallacas, and, above all, the family sharing.

El sábado pasado, durante nuestro paseo al centro comercial Avenida Chile, decidí hacer una parada especial en Dunkin Donuts para comprar nuestras donas favoritas. Sabía que sería un detalle perfecto para consentir a mi hija y a su esposo, quienes estaban haciendo sus primeras hallacas juntos como familia. Un momento tan significativo para ellos no podía pasar sin un toque dulce.
Mientras escogía las donas, imaginaba sus caras de alegría al verlas. Aproveché la promoción de Paga 5 y lleva 6 y elegí una variedad de sabores para que cada uno disfrutara su preferida: fresa, arequipe, miel, oreo y dos de las rellenas de crema pastelera que son mis favoritas. ¡Todas irresistibles! Mi esposo y yo nos comimos nuestras donas en el sitio, acompañándolas con un café divino. La combinación perfecta para una merienda de sábado por la tarde.
Llegué a la casa de mi hija justo a tiempo para un descanso. Se les veía entusiasmados, aunque algo cansados, preparando las hojas y el guiso en plena acción.
Las donas fueron un éxito total y les ayudaron a renovar fuerzas para seguir con el trabajo. Estaban siguiendo nuestras indicaciones al pie de la letra, pues tomaron la iniciativa de comenzar la tradición de hacer sus hallacas, y no puedo describir la emoción que sentí al probar el guiso que ya estaba listo. ¡Les quedó exquisito! Les cuento que son excelentes discípulos.
Ese día fue muy especial: el paseo, las donas, las hallacas, y, sobre todo, el compartir en familia.
