Crocheted hat,a mini project for a special wish💕

Today I want to tell you about a flash project that gave me a lot of satisfaction and came about almost spontaneously. It turns out that the son of a friend, who is working on a puppet for school, had the idea that his character should wear a hat, but not just any hat: he asked, very seriously, that I be the one to knit it. I confess that his demand amused me and, at the same time, filled me with tenderness, because in his little head he had already decided that “Vivi” could bring that detail to life.🧵
I didn't think twice. I took the ball of gray yarn I had on hand and sat down to knit. Using single crochet stitches, I shaped the little hat, enjoying the process because it was quick and easy. In less than an hour, it was ready. I wanted to give the brim a different touch, so I used crab stitch on the last row, which gave it a slight flare that perfectly simulated the brim of a hat.⏳

Hoy quiero contarles de un proyecto flash que me dio muchísima satisfacción y que salió casi de manera improvisada. Resulta que el hijo de una amiga, que está trabajando en un títere para la escuela, tuvo la idea de que su personaje llevara un sombrero, pero no cualquier sombrero: él pidió, muy serio, que fuera yo quien lo tejiera. Confieso que me hizo gracia su exigencia y, al mismo tiempo, me llenó de ternura, porque en su cabecita ya estaba decidido que “Vivi” podía darle vida a ese detalle.🧵
No me lo pensé dos veces. Tomé el ovillo de hilo gris que tenía a la mano y me senté a tejer. Con puntos bajos fui dándole forma al sombrerito, disfrutando del proceso porque era rápido y ligero. En menos de una hora ya estaba listo. Para el borde quise darle un toque diferente y usé punto cangrejo en la última vuelta, lo que le dio un pequeño vuelo que simulaba, perfectamente, el ala de un sombrero.⏳

As I always like to add something special, I remembered that I had a pink bow left over from previous projects. I didn't hesitate: I sewed it onto the hat, and it immediately looked more beautiful. The contrast between the gray and the pink made it look delicate, cheerful, and full of personality.💖
When the boy saw it, his face lit up. It was just what I had imagined for his assignment. His excitement was so sincere that I too ended up happy for having fulfilled his wish.💕
I wanted to share this anecdote with my community of knitters because we often believe that only big projects count, but in reality it is these small creations that fill us with joy and remind us why we love to knit.✨
Como siempre me gusta añadir algo especial, recordé que tenía un lacito rosa ya tejido de proyectos anteriores. No lo dudé: lo cosí al sombrerito y, de inmediato, quedó más bello. El contraste del gris con el rosa lo hizo ver delicado, alegre y con personalidad.💖
Cuando el niño lo vio, su cara se iluminó. Era justo lo que había imaginado para su tarea. Su emoción fue tan sincera que yo también terminé feliz por haber cumplido su deseo.💕
Quise traer esta anécdota a mi comunidad de tejedoras porque muchas veces creemos que solo los grandes proyectos cuentan, pero en realidad son estas pequeñas creaciones las que nos llenan de alegría y nos recuerdan por qué amamos tejer.✨
