Crochet knitted tendrils (EN-ES)

Happy and blessed week, my dear Needlepoint Monday friends. I hope you are all doing great, in health and wellness and that you made the most of the weekend.

I am back in the community to share my latest project. I am very happy because I knitted a special detail for my daughter. She loves big, fancy, eye-catching tendrils. So when I saw an advertisement of some knitted tendrils on Instagram, I immediately wanted to try to knit them as a gift, and today I show you the finished work and some anecdotes while I was knitting them.

Estoy de vuelta por la comunidad para compartir mi último proyecto. Estoy muy feliz porque tejí un detalle especial para mi hija. A ella le encantan los zarcillos grandes, elegantes y vistosos. Así que cuando me apareció una publicidad de unos zarcillos tejidos por Instagram, de inmediato quise intentar tejerlos para regalárselos, y hoy les muestro el trabajo terminado y algunas anécdotas mientras los tejía.

It is the first time that I knit in rhombus form and I confess that I found it a little complicated, because, after the first round, which is easy, I had to unknit several times because at the end of the next round I either had too many or too few stitches.

This discouraged me, but I never gave up my main motivation, which was to surprise my daughter with these tendrils that I knew she would like, and I kept on trying to finish them.

Es la primera vez que tejo en forma de rombo y les confieso que me pareció un poco complicado, pues, luego de la primera vuelta, que se hace fácil, tuve que destejer varias veces porque al final de la siguiente vuelta o me faltaban puntos o me sobraban.

Esto me desanimaba, pero en ningún momento desistí de mi mayor motivación que era darle una sorpresa a mi hija con estos zarcillos que sabía le iban a gustar, y seguí empeñaba en terminarlos.

A novelty for me in this fabric was to use embroidery threads, which I think gives a more delicate finish to this type of fabric.

On this occasion, I used skeins of two colors that I like very much: an old pink and a beige as in an off-white tone. I thought it was a nice combination. Besides, I remembered that my daughter has clothes in these colors. Another thing to take into account when weaving these earrings is the way we are going to wear them. For this, I looked for a couple of small and simple little dots, which are ideal to pass through one of the knitted stitches and they are perfect.

I loved knitting them and I want to keep trying with other models. I saw that on Youtube there are many tutorials with different designs, so I will be watching, learning and knitting more.

My daughter loved this pair of earrings and is already wearing them as a cute accessory to complement her style.

Una novedad para mí en este tejido fue usar hilos para bordar, lo cual me parece que le da un acabado más delicado a este tipo de tejidos.

En esta ocasión, usé madejas de dos colores que me gustan mucho: un rosa vieja y un beige como en un tono color hueso. Me pareció una bonita combinación. Además, recordé que mi hija tiene ropa con estos colores. Otra cosa a tomar en cuenta a la hora de tejer estos aretes es la forma en que los vamos a usar. Para esto, busqué un par de topitos, pequeños y sencillitos, que son ideales para pasarlos por uno de los puntos tejidos y quedan perfectos.

Me encantó tejerlos y quiero seguir intentando con otros modelos. Vi que en Youtube hay muchos tutoriales con diferentes diseños, así que por ahí estaré viendo, aprendiendo y tejiendo más.

A mi hija le encantó este par de zarcillos y desde ya los usa como un lindo accesorio para complementar su estilo.
