Crochet coin purse decorated with pearls👜🪡

I took a break from my Christmas crocheting to focus on a special project that one of my crafty friends asked me to make: a coin purse with a clasp. I confess that at first I was nervous, because it was the first time I had worked on this type of piece, and I wanted it to turn out beautifully. I paid close attention to every detail, from choosing the yarn to the final finish.
I knitted it with 100% gray acrylic yarn, using a 2.5 mm needle to make single crochet stitches with the intention of making it a very tight knit. The closure was quite a challenge, but little by little I mastered it until I achieved a firm and neat result. When I finished, I felt that it was missing a detail that would make it stand out, so I decided to sew on some pearls and add some tassels to the closure. These details gave it personality and delicacy, turning it into a charming accessory.

Hice una pausita en mis tejidos navideños para enfocarme en un proyecto especial que me encargó una de mis amigas artesanas: un monedero con cierre. Les confieso que en el primer momento me inquieté, porque era la primera vez que trabajaba este tipo de pieza, y quería que quedara hermoso. Me dediqué a cada detalle con mucha atención, desde la elección del hilo hasta el acabado final.
Lo tejí con hilo 100% acrílico en color gris, usando una aguja de 2.5 mm para hacer puntos bajos con la intención de que fuera un tejido bien apretadito. El cierre fue todo un reto, pero poco a poco lo fui dominando hasta lograr un resultado firme y prolijo. Al terminar, sentí que le faltaba un detalle que lo hiciera resaltar, así que decidí coserle unas perlitas y ponerle unas borlas en el carrito del cierre. Esos detalles le dieron personalidad y delicadeza, convirtiéndolo en un accesorio encantador.

When I gave it to my friend, her smile confirmed that the effort was worth it. She really liked the design, the texture, and the subtle shine of the beads. It was very satisfying for me to see her reaction and feel that my hands can create things that bring joy to others. This project left me motivated and eager to continue exploring new techniques. I'm happy I did it.

Cuando se lo entregué a mi amiga, su sonrisa confirmó que el esfuerzo valió la pena. Le gustó mucho el diseño, la textura y el brillo sutil de las perlitas. Para mí fue una gran satisfacción ver su reacción y sentir que mis manos pueden crear cosas que alegran a otros. Este proyecto me dejó motivada y con ganas de seguir explorando nuevas técnicas. Estoy feliz de haberlo hecho.
