Chronicle of a craving foretold🍓🍫

Social media influences us in ways that we sometimes don't notice until we're already there, with our minds set on something. Something very unusual happened to me this week. I was scrolling through Instagram, not looking for anything in particular, when an ad for frozen raspberries covered in white chocolate and milk chocolate popped up. From that moment on, the idea stuck in my head.
Days passed, and yesterday, walking through the supermarket, I saw them. The packaging promised exactly what I had seen on the screen. I didn't think twice. I put them in my cart and took them home.

Las redes nos influyen de maneras que a veces no notamos hasta que ya estamos ahí, con el deseo entre ceja y ceja. Esta semana me pasó algo muy particular. Estaba scrolleando Instagram, sin buscar nada en particular, cuando apareció una publicidad de frambuesas congeladas cubiertas de chocolate blanco y chocolate de leche. Desde ese momento, la idea se me quedó dando vueltas en la cabeza.
Pasaron los días y ayer, caminando por el supermercado, las vi. El empaque prometía exactamente lo que había visto en pantalla. No lo pensé demasiado. Las puse en el carrito y me las llevé a casa.

I opened the bag and took one out: the raspberry in the center, red, intense, perfect, surrounded by a layer of white chocolate and another of milk chocolate. When you bite into it, the first thing you feel is the coldness of the frozen center that awakens your mouth. Then the smooth, creamy chocolate, and immediately after that the raspberry with its fresh, slightly tart, delicious flavor.
I'm not exaggerating when I say it's a complete experience. It melts slowly, layer by layer, and each bite is an explosion of flavor on the palate. The contrast between the sweetness of the chocolate and the natural tartness of the fruit is almost addictive.
Sometimes, social media awakens a taste in us that ends up being real, and in this case, deliciously memorable.
Abrí la bolsa y tomé una: la frambuesa en el centro, roja, intensa, perfecta, rodeada por una capa de chocolate blanco y otra de chocolate de leche. Al morderla, lo primero que se siente es el frío de lo congelado que despierta la boca. Luego el chocolate suave, cremoso, y enseguida aparece la frambuesa con su sabor fresco, un poco ácido, y delicioso.
No exagero cuando digo que es una experiencia completa. Se deshace lentamente, capa por capa, y cada mordida es una explosión de sabor en el paladar. El contraste entre el dulzor del chocolate y ese toque amarguito natural de la fruta funciona de una manera casi adictiva.
A veces, las redes nos despiertan un gusto que termina siendo real, y, en este caso, deliciosamente memorable.
