Choosing a new passion (EN-ES)
Greetings, my dear Ladies of Hive. I hope you are doing very well with abundant health and wellness and that this is a great week.
I am early this week to share my participation in the #241 edition of the contest to which the Ladies of Hive invite us, weekly. On this occasion, I will give an answer to the second question that our friend @priyanarc has proposed for this week:
2️⃣ If you could instantly master a skill but forget one you already know, which one would you choose?
If I could instantly master one skill, I would without hesitation choose to play the piano. It has always seemed to me a magical instrument, capable of expressing deep emotions without the need for words. I would love to sit in front of a piano and let my hands flow on their own, playing beautiful melodies as if I had been practicing for years. As a child I wanted to learn to play this instrument, and I played with a keyboard at home, but I didn't have the opportunity to study and practice it. I feel that being able to master it from one day to the next would be a dream come true. I am excited about the idea of being able to accompany songs, improvise, or just let myself be carried away by the sound of the keys.

Llego temprano esta semana para compartir mi participación en la edición #241 del concurso al que nos invitan, semanalmente, las Damas de Hive. En esta ocasión, daré respuesta a la segunda pregunta que nos ha propuesto la amiga @priyanarc para esta semana:
2️⃣ Si pudieras dominar instantáneamente una habilidad pero olvidar una que ya conoces, ¿cuál elegirías?
Si pudiera dominar instantáneamente una habilidad, sin dudarlo elegiría tocar el piano. Siempre me ha parecido un instrumento mágico, capaz de expresar emociones profundas sin necesidad de palabras. Me encantaría sentarme frente a un piano y dejar que mis manos fluyan solas, interpretando melodías hermosas como si llevara años practicando. De niña quería aprender a tocar este instrumento, y jugaba con un teclado que había en casa, pero no tuve la oportunidad de estudiarlo y practicarlo. Siento que poder dominarlo de un día para otro sería un sueño cumplido. Me emociona la idea de poder acompañar canciones, improvisar, o simplemente dejarme llevar por el sonido de las teclas.
Of course, to do that, I'd have to let go of a skill I already know. After thinking about it, I think I would let go of my ability to do everything I love in Canva: flyers, covers for my blog and the dividers I love to make to illustrate my publications. I've long used Canva for work, choosing appropriate images, taking care of design details, organizing information clearly, and while it's been very useful to me, it's a skill I could relearn, after mastering the piano.
So yes, I would switch from studying and designing images in Canva. I'd leave all that behind to sit in front of the piano and lose myself in musical notes. There's something powerful about music, something that connects us to the deepest part of ourselves and others.
Claro que, para lograrlo, tendría que olvidar una habilidad que ya conozco. Después de pensarlo, creo que dejaría ir mi capacidad para hacer todo lo que me gusta en Canva: flyers, portadas para mi blog y los separadores que me encanta hacer para ilustrar mis publicaciones. Durante mucho tiempo he utilizado Canva para el trabajo, eligiendo imágenes adecuadas, cuidando los detalles del diseño, organizando la información con claridad, y aunque me ha sido muy útil, es una habilidad que pudiera volver a aprender, después de dominar el piano.
Así que sí, cambiaría estudiar y diseñar imágenes en Canva. Dejaría todo eso atrás para sentarme frente al piano y perderme entre notas musicales. La música tiene algo poderoso, algo que nos conecta con lo más profundo de nosotros mismos y de los demás.

I wanted to learn the violin once and then later fall in love with the Piano. Beethoven, Chopin inspired me a lot. I was mesmerised by Mozart's sonatas, but unfortunately, my family never allowed it...So my dream stayed a dream...
I would have done the same...
