This week, in my jewelry-making course, I caught up on my classes and assignments. On Tuesday, we had a very interesting class in which the teacher showed us how to work with squares using the appropriate pliers, and then transform them into diamonds that would serve as the basis for some truly beautiful earrings. 💎

Esta semana, en mi curso de bisutería, me puse al día con las clases y con las tareas. El martes tuvimos una clase muy interesante en la que la profesora nos enseñó a trabajar cuadrados con las pinzas adecuadas, para luego transformarlos en rombos que servirían como base para unos zarcillos realmente hermosos. 💎

At first, it wasn't so easy. My first attempts were a little crooked and not symmetrical, but after several tries and applying the corrections that the teacher showed us, I managed to get them well defined. After a lot of practice, I made them in golfield because I love how that finish looks and it also gives the piece an elegant look.✨

Al principio no fue tan sencillo, mis primeros intentos salieron un poco torcidos y nada simétricos, pero después de varios intentos y de aplicar las correcciones que nos fue indicando la profesora, logré que me quedaran bien definidos. Luego de mucha práctica, los elaboré en golfield porque me encanta cómo luce ese acabado y, además, le da un aire elegante a la pieza.✨

Another thing I learned in this class was the technique of twisting the wire to close the earring and shape the hoop. It's a small detail that makes a big difference in the strength and beauty of the earring. I enjoyed discovering how, with a deft movement of the pliers, the wire can be adjusted to create that perfect join that holds the whole design together. 💠

Once I had the base ready, it was time for one of my favorite parts: choosing the crystals. I stopped to look at the colors and ended up choosing two shades of blue that I loved. From the first moment, I imagined how that combination would look, and when I started stringing them, I confirmed that I had made a good decision. I followed the color sequence so that it would look harmonious, and then I moved on to the weaving, following the teacher's instructions step by step so that the crystals would be framed and securely fastened.📿💎

Otra de las cosas que aprendí en esta clase fue la técnica de entorchar el alambre para cerrar el arete y darle forma a la argolla. Es un detalle pequeño que hace la diferencia en la firmeza y la belleza del zarcillo. Me gustó descubrir cómo con un buen movimiento de pinzas, el alambre se acomoda y crea esa unión perfecta que sostiene todo el diseño. 💠

Una vez que tuve lista la base, llegó una de mis partes favoritas: elegir los cristales. Me detuve a mirar los colores y terminé escogiendo dos tonos de azul que me fascinaron. Desde el primer momento me imaginé cómo se vería esa combinación, y al empezar a ensartarlos confirmé que había tomado una buena decisión. Seguí la secuencia de colores para que se viera armoniosa y después pasé a realizar el tejido, siguiendo, paso a paso, las indicaciones de la profesora para que los cristales quedaran enmarcados y bien asegurados.📿💎

The final touch was to mount the earrings on heart-shaped pins that I had bought and thought were ideal for giving the earrings a delicate and beautiful finish.💎

Every week, as I practice more, I feel more confident. I am happy with this result, because these earrings show my progress and also the joy of discovering that my hands can bring these beautiful pieces to life. 🤲 ✨

El toque final fue montar los aretes en unos pines con forma de corazón que había comprado y que me parecían ideales para darle un acabado delicado y hermoso a los zarcillos.💎

Cada semana, a medida que practico más, siento más segura. Estoy feliz con este resultado, porque estos zarcillos muestran mi avance y, también, la alegría de descubrir que mis manos pueden dar vida a estas hermosas piezas. 🤲 ✨
