An elegant and sophisticated burgundy scarf
Greetings and blessings, my dear crafting friends. I hope you are all in good health and spirits, and that you have a very rewarding weekend.
Once again, I crocheted a Peter Pan collar because, to be honest, I’m enjoying crocheting them more and more, and I wanted to add another one to my collection.
But this collar also serves a special purpose: I’m making it as a performance test for a certification I’m working on. And I don’t think I could have chosen a project I enjoy more. I love that these learning exercises can also become pieces that truly represent me and, at the same time, allow me to put what I’ve learned to the test.
In this design, I wanted to experiment with combining different stitches. Among them are the crossed double crochet and the front post double crochet, which together create a beautiful texture and give the piece much more movement and personality.

Una vez más, hice un cuello Peter Pan a crochet, porque, para ser sincera, cada vez disfruto más tejerlos y ya quería sumar uno más a mi colección.
Pero este cuello tiene además un propósito especial: lo estoy preparando como prueba de desempeño para una certificación que estoy realizando. Y creo que no podía haber escogido un proyecto que disfrutara más. Me gusta que estos ejercicios de aprendizaje también puedan convertirse en piezas que realmente me representen y que, al mismo tiempo, me permitan poner a prueba lo que he aprendido.
En este diseño quise experimentar con la combinación de diferentes puntos. Entre ellos está el punto alto cruzado y el punto relieve por delante, que juntos crean una textura preciosa y hacen que el tejido tenga mucho más movimiento y personalidad.

And then there’s the color—a deep maroon that won me over from the very first moment. It has something special: it’s elegant, sophisticated, and, without needing too many embellishments, it makes the neckline stand out as the star of the show.
As I was knitting it, I thought about how wonderful it is to revisit an idea we already know and discover that we can still make it different by changing the stitches, playing with textures, and trying a different color. I think that’s exactly what I love most about knitting: every project is an opportunity to learn, experiment, and be surprised by the result.
This Peter Pan collar joins my collection, but it also represents another step in this learning process that I’m really enjoying.
And yes… I’m definitely falling more and more in love with these collars. ❤️🧶
Y luego está el color que es un granate profundo que me conquistó desde el primer momento. Tiene algo especial: es elegante, sofisticado y, sin necesidad de demasiados adornos, consigue que el cuello se vea como una pieza protagonista.
Mientras lo tejía pensaba en lo bonito que es volver sobre una idea que ya conocemos y descubrir que todavía podemos hacerla diferente al cambiar los puntos, jugar con las texturas y probar otro color. Creo que eso es precisamente lo que más me gusta de tejer: cada proyecto es una oportunidad para aprender, experimentar y sorprenderme con el resultado.
Este Peter Pan se suma a mi colección, pero también representa un paso más en este proceso de aprendizaje que estoy disfrutando muchísimo.
Y sí… definitivamente, cada vez me gustan más estos cuellos. ❤️🧶
