An afternoon snack with my daughter (EN-ES)
Greetings and blessings, everyone. I hope you are doing very well, in good health and well being.
Last Sunday I enjoyed a date afternoon with my favorite person. After a spa day we treated ourselves to, we went out for a snack, my daughter and I, just the two of us, no rush, no earrings. We chose a cozy cafe that we love, where the aroma of freshly brewed coffee is perceived as soon as you enter. We ordered cappuccinos, of course, but with a special touch: mine with amaretto essence, that sweet flavor with a hint of almond that I like so much, and hers with Irish cream essence, which makes it softer and more aromatic.

El domingo pasado disfruté una tarde de cita con mi persona favorita. Después de un día de spa que nos regalamos, salimos a merendar, mi hija y yo, solo nosotras dos, sin prisas ni pendientes. Escogimos un café acogedor que nos encanta, donde el aroma a café recién hecho se percibe apenas entras. Pedimos capuchinos, pero con un toque especial: el mío con esencia de amaretto, ese saborcito dulce con un puntito a almendra que tanto me gusta, y el de ella con esencia de crema irlandesa, que lo hace más suave y aromático.

To accompany it, nothing better than a good mantecada, what a delight! It was fluffy, soft inside and with that golden and slightly crunchy edge that fascinates me. Sometimes you just need a good hot drink, a piece of well-made cake and the best company to enjoy life.
We spent a little more than two hours there, talking about the everyday, the important things, about what we sometimes let pass by without realizing it. We laughed, we had our nostalgic moment and there was also space to talk about dreams, plans and those little things that build life a little at a time. It was a very special moment for us, mother and daughter, sharing the love that unites us.
Para acompañar, nada mejor que una buena mantecada. ¡Qué delicia! Estaba esponjosa, suavecita por dentro y con ese borde doradito y ligeramente crocante que me fascina. A veces no se necesita más que una buena bebida caliente, un trozo de bizcocho bien hecho y la mejor compañía para disfrutar la vida.
Ahí estuvimos un poco más de dos horas, hablando de lo cotidiano, de lo importante, de lo que a veces dejamos pasar sin darnos cuenta. Reímos, tuvimos nuestro momento nostálgico y también hubo espacio para hablar de sueños, planes y esas pequeñas cosas que construyen la vida de a poquito. Fue un momento muy nuestro, madre e hija, compartiendo desde el amor que nos une.

Sometimes happiness is found just in a moment like this one, in which I rejoiced: between steaming cups and words exchanged with affection. That's why I keep that feeling of calm, of connection and gratitude for being able to share moments like this with her, which serenates me and gives me peace.
Definitely, life, with its accelerated pace, always becomes more beautiful and kind when we pause to enjoy it with those we love the most. May we never lack these simple moments, which become treasures of the soul.
A veces, la felicidad se encuentra justo en un momento como este, en el que me regocijé: entre tazas humeantes y palabras que se intercambian con cariño. Por eso, me quedo con esa sensación de calma, de conexión y de gratitud por poder compartir momentos así con ella, que me serena y me da paz.
Definitivamente, la vida, con su ritmo acelerado, siempre se vuelve más bonita y amable cuando la pausamos para disfrutarla con quienes más amamos. Ojalá nunca nos falten estos momentos sencillos, que se transforman en tesoros del alma.
