This sweater was a project I’d been wanting to make for a while. I really wanted to create something special, and I decided to make it with granny squares because they have that classic charm that never fails. I started by crocheting a large granny square, about 20 rounds, paying close attention to every detail so it would be well-defined and have that beautiful texture that’s so obvious even at a glance.

Then, with the same dedication, I crocheted another granny square of the same size for the back. Seeing them finished, perfectly symmetrical, already made me imagine how beautiful the sweater would look once assembled. When I joined them together, the shape began to come to life: a comfortable, slightly loose design with a very flattering drape.

The most special touch, without a doubt, was the sleeves. I wanted to go beyond the basics, so I knitted some ruffles that added a lovely flow. Those ruffles move gently, giving it a delicate, feminine, and very unique look. Plus, they reveal a little bit of the shoulder, which makes the sweater even more stylish and special.

The green color I chose is simply spectacular. It’s a deep, elegant shade that really stands out and goes perfectly with everything. In the photos, you can see how the granny square design forms a very pretty geometric pattern in the center, and how the small openwork details give it that light, airy effect.

I absolutely loved this sweater—both for how it turned out and for the whole process of knitting it.💚
