A sweater with a batik-style pattern, texture, and lots of love
Greetings and blessings, my dear crafting friends. I hope you’re all doing well and staying healthy, and that this is a very productive week for you.
I’m so excited to show you another piece I crocheted for my daughter, because not only is it a very special project, but it also brings together several of the things I enjoy most about crocheting: a beautiful texture, a design with personality, and a yarn that makes every stitch unique.
One of the details I love most about this sweater is the triple-crossed double crochet. I’m fascinated by stitches with relief and texture. In this design, the stitch creates an elegant and eye-catching effect that adds a lot of delicacy.

Me complace muchísimo mostrarles otra de las prendas que tejí para mi hija, pues, además de ser un proyecto muy especial, reúne varias de las cosas que más disfruto cuando hago crochet: una textura hermosa, un diseño con personalidad y un hilo que convierte cada puntada en algo único.
Uno de los detalles que más me enamora de este suéter es el punto alto triple cruzado. Me fascinan los puntos con relieve y textura. En este diseño, el punto crea un efecto elegante y llamativo que aporta mucha delicadeza.

This sweater is knitted in sections, starting with either the front or back piece and then continuing with the sleeves. I like this method because it lets you enjoy each stage of the process and see how, little by little, each piece comes together to form a complete garment.
To knit it, I chose Cotton Gold Batik yarn. From the moment I saw its colors, I knew it would be perfect for this project. The yarn’s batik effect created a one-of-a-kind color pattern, giving each section of the sweater its own unique charm. I love it when the yarn itself becomes part of the design and surprises me with such harmonious and beautiful color transitions.
When I finished joining all the pieces together and saw the sweater complete, I felt that sense of satisfaction known only to those of us who enjoy creating with our hands. And my joy was even greater when my daughter put it on for the first time. Seeing her happy to wear such a soft, comfortable, and beautiful sweater for the first time made every hour I spent knitting it worth it.
Este suéter se teje por partes, comenzando por la pieza delantera o la trasera para luego continuar con las mangas. Me gusta este método porque permite disfrutar cada etapa del proceso y ver cómo, poco a poco, cada pieza cobra sentido hasta convertirse en una prenda completa.
Para tejerlo elegí el hilo Cotton Gold Batik. Desde que vi sus colores supe que sería perfecto para este proyecto. El efecto batik del hilo fue dibujando un patrón de color irrepetible, haciendo que cada sección del suéter tuviera un encanto propio. Me encanta cuando el hilo también participa en el diseño y sorprende con transiciones de color tan armoniosas y bellas.
Cuando terminé de unir todas las piezas y vi el suéter listo, sentí esa satisfacción que solo conocemos quienes disfrutamos crear con nuestras manos. Y la alegría fue aún mayor cuando mi hija se lo puso por primera vez. Verla feliz estrenando un suéter tan suave, cómodo y bonito hizo que cada hora dedicada al tejido valiera la pena.
