A special gift to my husband's chess club

A few days ago I gave my husband a surprise that left him with a big smile, the kind that stays with him all day. He is very excited about his chess club and the classes he teaches. You can tell how much he enjoys it and how passionate he is about sharing what he knows. I love to see him like that, so motivated, and that's why I wanted to do my bit to help the club continue to grow.

Hace unos días le di una sorpresa a mi esposo que lo dejó con una gran sonrisa, de esas que se quedan todo el día. Él está muy entusiasmado con su club de ajedrez y con las clases que imparte. Se nota cuánto lo disfruta y cuánto le apasiona compartir lo que sabe. Me encanta verlo así, tan motivado, y por eso quise aportar un granito de arena para ayudarlo a que el club siga creciendo.
Although we are already in the fourth month of the year, I had the idea of having some 2025 almanacs made with club advertising. But I didn't want it to be just any old almanac. I told my daughter about the idea and asked her to make a design and to include one of the chess problems that he usually shares in his networks, those that he enjoys so much to analyze and teach. She dedicated herself to prepare the design and in a few days it was ready. We sent them to print and the result was beautiful and very striking. When the package arrived we gave them to her as a gift. She didn't expect it at all... and she loved them!
We are convinced that these almanacs are not only useful, but can also be a nice way to attract more students. I am happy to be able to support him on this path that we have been building together, with enthusiasm and commitment.
Aunque ya vamos por el cuarto mes del año, se me ocurrió mandar a hacer unos almanaques del 2025 con publicidad del club. Pero no quise que fuera cualquier almanaque. Le comenté a mi hija la idea y le pedí que hiciera un diseño y que incluyera uno de los problemas de ajedrez que él suele compartir en sus redes, esos que tanto disfruta analizar y enseñar. Ella se dedicó a preparar el diseño y a los pocos días estuvo listo. Los mandamos a imprimir y el resultado fue precioso y muy llamativo. Cuando llegó el paquete se los dimos como regalo. No se lo esperaba para nada… ¡y le encantaron!
Estamos convencidos de que estos almanaques no solo son útiles, sino que también pueden ser una bonita forma de atraer a más alumnos. Me siento feliz de poder apoyarlo en este camino que hemos ido construyendo juntos, con ilusión y compromiso.
