A different morning in Lourdes Park🚶♀️💒
Greetings, dear fellow walkers in this community. I hope you are all well, in good health, and enjoying life.
Today I took my walk around Lourdes Park, here in Chapinero. It was a peaceful walk, but full of life. I went out, enjoying the fresh morning air and the hustle and bustle of the area. As soon as I approached the Basilica, I realized that there were many more people than usual. Well, today is the Day of Our Lady of Lourdes, and the church was especially crowded.
There were masses at different times and a procession dedicated to the Virgin. There was an atmosphere of contemplation and faith. Many people were coming and going with a respectful and devout attitude. I stopped for a moment to observe. I went into the church for a few minutes and felt joyful about the celebration of the Virgin

Hoy hice mi caminata por los alrededores del parque Lourdes, aquí en Chapinero. Fue un paseo tranquilo, pero lleno de vida. Salí, disfrutando el aire fresco de la mañana y el movimiento propio del sector. Desde que me acerqué a la Basílica me di cuenta de que había mucha más gente de lo habitual. Pues, hoy es el Día de Nuestra Señora de Lourdes y la iglesia estaba especialmente concurrida.
Había misas a diferentes horas y una procesión dedicada a la Virgen. Se respiraba un ambiente de recogimiento y fe. Mucha gente entrando y saliendo con una actitud respetuosa y devota. Me detuve un momento a observar. Entré unos minutos a la iglesia y me sentí regocijada por la fiesta a la Virgen.

Then I continued my walk around the park. At the back of the church, in the square there, I came across something I didn't expect: a traveling library.
They had set out several books so that anyone could sit down and read, and there was also a special table with coloring books and lots of colors for the children. Some of the little ones were concentrating on their drawings while the adults watched over them closely. I thought this was a beautiful touch, because it turns a public space into a place for sharing and learning.
They even had a chess set ready on a small table for anyone who wanted to play with the librarian. I thought it was a lovely initiative. I ended my walk with a pleasant feeling, grateful for those little discoveries that make an everyday stroll feel special.
Luego seguí mi recorrido alrededor del parque. En la parte de atrás de la iglesia, en la plaza que está allí, me encontré con algo que no esperaba: una biblioteca itinerante.
Habían dispuesto varios libros para que cualquiera pudiera sentarse a leer, también había una mesa especial con libros para colorear y muchos colores para los niños. Algunos pequeños estaban concentrados en sus dibujos mientras los adultos los acompañaban de cerca. Ese detalle me pareció hermoso, porque convierte el espacio público en un lugar para compartir y aprender.
Incluso, tenían un ajedrez listo en una mesita para quien quisiera jugar con el encargado. Me pareció una iniciativa encantadora. Terminé mi caminata con una sensación agradable, agradecida por esos pequeños hallazgos que hacen que un paseo cotidiano se sienta especial.
