A different and creative granny to embellish my home

I want to show you a new knitting project that I loved. I recently started knitting a granny, one of my favorite ways to knit because it allows me to create beautiful designs and, as I've already mentioned, I find them very versatile. This time, I decided to go a little outside of the traditional and try a variation on the classic granny, with a different design, but just as easy and fun to make with openwork loops and rounds of stitches in each base stitch.

Quiero mostrarles un nuevo proyecto de tejido que me encantó. Hace poco comencé a tejer un granny, una de mis formas favoritas de tejer porque me permite crear diseños hermosos y, como ya lo he mencionado, me parecen muy versátiles. Esta vez, decidí salir un poco de lo tradicional y probar una variación del clásico granny, con un diseño diferente, pero igual de fácil y entretenido de hacer con vueltas caladas y vueltas de puntos en cada punto de base.

Some time ago, while browsing Instagram, I came across a video that immediately captivated me. They were showing a beautiful little card knitted from a central granny, with the corners knitted like little grannys diagonally. I thought it was a beautiful and original idea. Unfortunately, I didn't save the video, but I kept the image in my mind and couldn't stop thinking about trying it myself.

So I got down to work, without a pattern, just guided by what I remembered and letting the fabric guide me. I confess that it was quite a challenge, as I had to improvise a lot and make several attempts until I found a shape that I liked. In the original video, they combined three different colors of yarn, and although I would have liked to do the same, I didn't have a third color that combined well with the two I had already chosen. Still, I really liked how it turned out, with only two shades. I feel it preserves the essence of the design I saw, but with my personal touch.

Hace algún tiempo, mientras navegaba por Instagram, me apareció un video que me cautivó de inmediato. Mostraban una carpetita preciosa tejida a partir de un granny central, con las esquinas tejidas como pequeños grannys en forma diagonal. Me pareció una idea hermosa y original. Lamentablemente, no guardé el video, pero me quedé con la imagen en la mente y no podía dejar de pensar en intentarlo por mi cuenta.

Así que me puse manos a la obra, sin patrón, solo guiándome por lo que recordaba y dejando que el tejido me fuera guiando. Confieso que fue todo un reto, ya que tuve que improvisar bastante y hacer varios intentos hasta encontrar una forma que me gustara. En el video original, combinaban tres colores distintos de hilo, y aunque me hubiera gustado hacer lo mismo, no tenía un tercer color que combinara bien con los dos que ya había elegido. Aun así, me gustó mucho cómo quedó, con solo dos tonos. Siento que conserva la esencia del diseño que vi, pero con mi toque personal.

I am happy with the result. I will use it as a decorative little box to decorate the spaces in my house, a small detail that will make my creative corner cozier. I love how, from a simple granny, you can make things as beautiful as this little card that I show you today.

Estoy contenta con el resultado. Lo usaré como una carpetita decorativa para decorar los espacios de mi casa, un pequeño detalle que hará más acogedor mi rincón creativo. Me encanta cómo, a partir de un simple granny, se pueden hacer cosas tan bonitas como esta carpetita que les muestro hoy.
