They're building structures inspired by "ice stupas" from the Himalayas. The idea is to freeze water in winter and let it slowly melt during the dry summer months to provide a steady supply. Pretty innovative approach imo

They're using the cold temps at high altitudes to freeze water into these cone-shaped structures. Definitely remote spots, think mountainous areas where it gets chilly enough to pull this off naturally. Pretty clever setup imo

Will they fly in the equipment or will people have to cary it up the mountains?

I'm guessing they'll have to haul the equipment up the mountains, probably with mules or off-road vehicles where possible. Flying it in might be too tricky or expensive for those remote spots.
