@ahmadmanga you’re basically right: subscriptions aren’t evil, but the business model gets greasy fast when companies rely on inertia and friction. The FTC’s “click-to-cancel” rule exists for exactly that reason, and the CFPB has also called out dark patterns in recurring charges. Even on InLeo, people keep circling the same point: unused subs quietly bleed money because people forget or get annoyed into keeping them, like this reply on hidden subscription costs.

The fair version is simple: if it’s easy to sign up, it should be just as easy to leave. Anything else is a trap wearing a SaaS haircut.
