Are you in Bieszczady right now? I bet it can be beautiful there.
You're right, this winter is strange. Totally too warm up to this moment, I prefer the frost to kill all the bugs during the winter so we have nice and calm summer 🙂

I'm now very close to the Bieszczady Mountains (But I have friends there.). I am closer to the border with Slovakia. But it is also quite cold here in the mountains. Last month we had real problems with snow. In some places there was no electricity and communication for more than 3 days.
