[PL / ENG] Rabarbarowy wtorek / Rhubarb Tuesday // Daily Blog May 13 2025

We wtorek Bombel został w domu ze względu na katar - niewielki, ale jednak skoro mam możliwość, wolę go w domu ścigać z chusteczkami, niż odbierać po południu z zaschniętym gilem pod nosem. W związku z tym dzień upłynął nam na wspólnym pieczeniu ciasta z rabarbarem i to było fajne. Mniej fajne było to, że przyzwyczajona do błogiego spanka z Dzidzią do 9 byłam w ciężkim szoku, że Bombel obudził mnie o 6.30 i miałam o niego o to niemałe pretensje, bo przez cały dzień czułam się niedospana i zła, przez co miałam też znacznie mniejsze pokłady cierpliwości - a moje oba Bombelki prześcigały się tego dnia w tym, kto będzie miał głupsze pomysły.

On Tuesday, Bombel stayed home because of a runny nose - a slight one, but still, if I have the opportunity, I prefer to chase him home with tissues than pick him up in the afternoon with a dried bug under his nose. In connection with this, we spent the day baking a rhubarb cake together, and that was nice. What was less nice was that, accustomed to sleeping blissfully with Baby until 9, I was in deep shock that Bombel woke me up at 6:30 and I had quite a bit of a grudge against him for that, because I felt sleepy and angry all day, which also meant I had much less patience - and my two Bombels were competing that day with each other to come up with the stupidest ideas.

Ciasto wyszło ok, ale zrobiłam chyba ten sam błąd, co co roku odkąd mam lidlomixa. Wybrałam mianowicie apetyczny przepis na ciasto drożdżowe z rabarbarem i jednak to nie do końca to: wyrosło pięknie, wielka drożdżówa, ale rabarbaru na nim malutko. Ja uwielbiam kwaśne ciasto mocno rabarbarowe, więc to nie te proporcje. Wolę przepis z kruchego. Trzeba będzie upiec kolejne (oczywiście po zjedzeniu tego).

The cake turned out ok, but I think I made the same mistake I've made every year since I got the lidlomix. Namely, I chose an appetizing recipe for a yeast cake with rhubarb, and yet it wasn't quite it: it rose beautifully, a big yeast cake, but there wasn't much rhubarb on it. I love sour cake with a lot of rhubarb, so these aren't the right proportions. I prefer the shortcrust recipe. I'll have to bake another one (obviously after having this one eaten).

Skoczyliśmy na budowę, a tam wieści.
Pierwszą wieścią jest to, że przesadzona paulownia ma listki - więc chyba przeżyła trudy i znoje i może coś z niej będzie :)

We went to the construction site, and there was news.
The first news is that the transplanted paulownia has leaves - so it probably survived the hardships and toils and maybe something will come of it :)

Druga wieść jest taka, że podłogi jest więcej i więcej, i utwierdzam się, że był to dobry wybór. Nie mogę się napatrzeć - moim zdaniem jest piękna!

The second news is that there is more and more flooring, and I am convinced that this was a good choice. I can't stop looking at it - in my opinion it is beautiful!
