I went with my sister to an Asian-themed event held at a shopping mall in the city, and honestly, it was such a cool experience.
The first thing we did was sign up for an amigurumi workshop (yes, those adorable little crocheted dolls 🧸). We had never tried anything like it before, but it was super relaxing and fun. There was a booth selling Asian drinks, snacks, sweets, and anime and video game figures. Everything was so cute — I wanted to buy it all! (Though I held back and only got a small figure of one of my favorite video game characters.)
We also attended an introductory class in Chinese and Japanese, which I found really interesting, especially since I’ve always wanted to learn Japanese. Right after that, we watched an Aikido demonstration that left me so impressed with the precision of the movements and the focus it requires.
There were still more activities to check out, but we were already feeling a bit tired and decided to head home. Still, I’m left with the lovely memories of the day, how much we learned, and the awesome atmosphere of the event.
Hopefully they’ll do it again soon — it was totally worth it. 🌸💫

Fui con mi hermana a un evento asiático que se hizo en un centro comercial de la ciudad, y la verdad es que estuvo demasiado genial. Lo primero que hicimos fue inscribirnos en un taller de amigurumi (sí, esos muñequitos tejidos que son una ternura total 🧸). Nunca habíamos intentado algo así, pero fue súper relajante y divertido. Había un puesto donde vendían bebidas, dulces, snacks asiáticos y figuras de anime y videojuegos. Todo estaba demasiado lindo, ¡me daban ganas de comprarlo todo! (Aunque me controle y solo me compré una figurilla de uno de mis personajes favoritos de videojuego). También asistimos a una clase introductoria de chino y japonés, que me pareció súper interesante, especialmente porque siempre he querido aprender japonés. Justo después vimos una demostración de Aikido que me dejó impresionada por la precisión de los movimientos y la concentración que requiere. Aunque había más actividades por ver, ya estábamos algo cansadas y decidimos irnos a casa. Pero me quedo con lo bonito del día, lo mucho que aprendimos y el ambiente tan chévere del evento. Ojalá lo repitan pronto porque definitivamente valió la pena. 🌸💫
