¡Saludos comunidad! En el reto de ésta semana quiero compartir con ustedes una estrategia utilizando el Splinter de muerte para batallas con un límite de maná alto, y las reglas: “Little League” y “Target Practice”. Hago énfasis en esos aspectos del conjunto de reglas porque son los que me condujeron a la elaboración de la estrategia.

En ésta oportunidad, les explicaré cómo afronté una batalla de ranked de la liga de Plata en el formato Moderno, enfocándome en destacar la importancia de tomar en cuenta el conjunto de reglas para formar nuestras estrategias. Adicionalmente del conjunto de habilidades que deseemos combinar.

Ya que éstos aspectos son un factor clave con un impacto considerable en el desempeño de nuestras estrategias.

Venari Marksrat es un monstruo que en su nivel 2, cuenta con atributos bajos, y la habilidad “Martyr”. La cual le permite incrementar todos los atributos de sus monstruos adyacentes en 1 punto, una vez que muera.

Riftwing es un monstruo que en su nivel 5, cuenta con atributos medios, y las habilidades: “Flying”, “Scavenger” y “Backfire”. Las cuales incrementan la posibilidad de evadir ataques físicos, aumenta su vida en 1 punto cada vez que muera un monstruo, y hace 2 puntos de daño cuando esquiva un ataque con daño físico del enemigo, respectivamente.

Particularmente, considero que la combinación de éstas cartas es una buena opción para aquellas batallas con la presencia de las reglas: “Little League” y “Target Practice”. ¿Por qué? Pues, la idea es posicionar a Venari Marksrat en la segunda posición para que sea el primer objetivo de la habilidad “Snipe” otorgada por la regla “Target Practice” para que una vez que muera, potencie a sus monstruos adyacentes mediante su habilidad “Martyr”. Por otra parte, luego de esto, Riftwing será el siguiente objetivo de los ataques “Snipe” del enemigo, lo cual le dará tiempo al resto del equipo para seguir debilitando al enemigo. Cabe destacar que la finalidad de la estrategia es posicionar a Riftwing para que sea el siguiente objetivo de la habilidad “Snipe”, luego de que “Venari Marksrat” sea abatido.

Hablemos sobre el conjunto de reglas presentes en la batalla, éste es el punto de partida para iniciar el análisis que nos llevará a la elección más adecuada para afrontar la batalla.

La regla Little League establece que sólo se pueden usar invocadores y monstruos con un costo de maná igual a 4 puntos o menos. Por otra parte, la regla Target Practice otorga la habilidad “Snipe” a todos los monstruos de tipo rango y mágico en la batalla, la habilidad “Snipe” tiene como objetivo los monstruos sin ataque, mágicos y de rango en la segunda fila enemiga.

Límite de maná igual a 44 puntos, ésta cantidad bajo el condicionamiento de la regla “Little League”, nos deja con mucha holgura para la selección de invocadores y monstruos, por lo que éste último aspecto no representa una limitación como tal, y nuestra selección debe tomar en cuenta los efectos de la presencia de la regla “Target Practice” para tomar la ventaja en la batalla. Por tal motivo, es recomendable utilizar invocadores que reduzcan el daño enemigo, bien sea mágico, de rango o físico, que aumenten o disminuyan los puntos de velocidad o vida, o que otorguen alguna habilidad de soporte como por ejemplo: “Void”, “Void Armor”, “Tank Heal”, “Triage”, etc.

Hablemos sobre el equipo, y la estrategia que conforma. Dadas las circunstancias de la batalla, una buena opción es reducir los atributos del enemigo. Es por ello que decidí utilizar al invocador Thaddius Brood para disminuir en 1 punto el daño mágico y la vida del enemigo.

Xenith Monk fue el tanque en ésta oportunidad, ya que cuenta con unos atributos medios, y la habilidad “Heal”.

Venari Marksrat ocupó la segunda posición con el propósito principal de incrementar en 1 punto todos los atributos de sus monstruos adyacentes mediante su habilidad “Martyr”.

Shadow Snitch ocupó la tercera posición con la finalidad de contribuir con su daño desde la segunda fila mediante su habilidad “Reach”, una vez que Venari Marksrat sea abatido.

Uraeus ocupó la cuarta posición con el propósito de contribuir con su daño desde la segunda fila mediante su habilidad “Sneak”.

Riftwing ocupó la quinta posición con la finalidad de ser el siguiente objetivo del daño de tipo “Snipe” del enemigo, una vez que Venari Marksrat sea abatido. De ésta forma, ya que el daño enemigo de tipo mágico y rango estará concentrado en él, le dará tiempo al resto del equipo de debilitar al enemigo.

Venari Bonesmith ocupó la última posición con el propósito de contribuir con su daño desde la segunda fila. Asimismo, sus habilidades: “Life Leach” y “Poison” le permiten incrementar en 1 punto su vida cuando hace daño al enemigo, y hacer 2 puntos de daño directo a la vida del objetivo bajo el efecto de la habilidad “Poison” en cada turno, respectivamente.

Tal y como les mencioné anteriormente, usar un invocador que reduzca el daño mágico y la vida del oponente, es una buena opción. También es importante distribuir bien los tipos de daño a utilizar en nuestro equipo para conformar una ofensiva más eficiente.

Observen como para el turno 15 de la ronda 2, el equipo enemigo estaba casi abatido. Venari Marksrat cumplió su objetivo, potenciando a Xenith Monk y Shadow Snitch mediante su habilidad “Martyr”, los cuales enfrentaron muy bien al equipo enemigo. Por otra parte, Riftwing también cumplió su propósito, desviando todo el daño mágico y de rango enemigo hacia él para dar tiempo al equipo de debilitar al enemigo. Asimismo, Venari Bonesmith y Uraeus abatieron poco a poco a la segunda fila enemiga.

La estrategia planteada hizo un uso eficiente de la cantidad de maná disponible, cubriendo aspectos tales como: resistencia contra el daño enemigo, soporte del equipo, una buena ofensiva, y coherencia con el conjunto de reglas presente.

Una debilidad de ésta estrategia es una ofensiva enemiga basada en sólo daño físico, ya que el efecto de la regla “Target Practice” no tendría efecto, y la estrategia planteada no funcionaría del todo.

La diferencia entre las estrategias fue que el enemigo usó muchos monstruos en su segunda fila de tipo mágico y de rango, lo que representó una gran desventaja para él dadas las circunstancias de la batalla.

Para una adecuada sinergia de nuestras estrategias es importante considerar todos los aspectos involucrados, por lo que no sólo debemos enfocarnos en los atributos y habilidades a combinar. También debemos tener en cuenta la influencia de los conjuntos de reglas sobre la estrategia.

Greetings community! In this week's challenge I want to share with you a strategy using the Death Splinter for battles with a high mana limit, and the rules: "Little League" and "Target Practice". I emphasize those aspects of the rule set because they are the ones that led me to the elaboration of the strategy.

In this opportunity, I will explain how I faced a Silver League ranked battle in the Modern format, focusing on highlighting the importance of taking into account the rule set to form our strategies. In addition to the set of skills we want to combine.

Since these aspects are a key factor with a considerable impact on the performance of our strategies.

Venari Marksrat is a monster that at level 2, has low attributes, and the ability "Martyr". This ability allows him to increase all the attributes of his adjacent monsters by 1 point, once he dies.

Riftwing is a monster that at level 5, has medium attributes, and the abilities: "Flying", "Scavenger" and "Backfire". These increase the possibility of evading physical attacks, increase its life by 1 point each time a monster dies, and do 2 points of damage when it dodges an attack with physical damage from the enemy, respectively.

Particularly, I consider the combination of these cards to be a good option for those battles with the presence of the rules: "Little League" and "Target Practice". Why? Well, the idea is to position Venari Marksrat in the second position to be the first target of the "Snipe" ability granted by the "Target Practice" rule so that once he dies, he can empower his adjacent monsters with his "Martyr" ability. On the other hand, after this, Riftwing will be the next target of the enemy's "Snipe" attacks, which will give the rest of the team time to further weaken the enemy. It should be noted that the purpose of the strategy is to position Riftwing to be the next target of the "Snipe" skill, after "Venari Marksrat" is killed.

Let's talk about the set of rules present in the battle, this is the starting point to begin the analysis that will lead us to the most appropriate choice to face the battle.

The Little League rule states that only summoners and monsters with a mana cost equal to 4 points or less can be used. On the other hand, the Target Practice rule grants the "Snipe" ability to all ranged and magic type monsters in the battle, the "Snipe" ability targets non-attacking, magic and ranged monsters in the enemy second row.

Mana limit equal to 44 points, this amount under the conditioning of the "Little League" rule, leaves us with a lot of slack for the selection of summoners and monsters, so this last aspect does not represent a limitation as such, and our selection must take into account the effects of the presence of the "Target Practice" rule to take the advantage in battle. For this reason, it is advisable to use summoners that reduce enemy damage, whether magical, ranged or physical, that increase or decrease speed or life points, or that grant some support ability such as: "Void", "Void Armor", "Tank Heal", "Triage", etc.

Let's talk about the equipment, and the strategy it conforms. Given the circumstances of the battle, a good option is to reduce the enemy's attributes. That's why I decided to use the summoner Thaddius Brood to reduce the enemy's magic damage and health by 1 point.

Xenith Monk was the tank in this opportunity, since he has medium attributes and the "Heal" skill.

Venari Marksrat occupied the second position with the main purpose of increasing by 1 point all the attributes of his adjacent monsters through his "Martyr" ability.

Shadow Snitch occupied the third position with the main purpose of contributing with his damage from the second row through his "Reach" ability, once Venari Marksrat is downed.

Uraeus took the fourth position with the purpose of contributing its damage from the second row through its "Sneak" ability.

Riftwing occupied the fifth position in order to be the next target of the enemy's "Snipe" damage, once Venari Marksrat is downed. This way, since the enemy's magic and range damage will be concentrated on him, it will give the rest of the team time to weaken the enemy.

Venari Bonesmith occupied the last position in order to contribute with his damage from the second row. Likewise, his abilities: "Life Leach" and "Poison" allow him to increase his life by 1 point when he deals damage to the enemy, and to deal 2 points of direct damage to the target's life under the effect of the "Poison" ability each turn, respectively.

As I mentioned before, using a summoner that reduces the opponent's magic damage and life is a good option. It is also important to distribute well the types of damage to use in our team to form a more efficient offensive.

Note how by turn 15 of round 2, the enemy team was almost down. Venari Marksrat fulfilled his goal, empowering Xenith Monk and Shadow Snitch with his "Martyr" ability, both of which dealt very well with the enemy team. On the other hand, Riftwing also served its purpose, deflecting all enemy magic and ranged damage towards him to give the team time to weaken the enemy. Likewise, Venari Bonesmith and Uraeus gradually took down the enemy's second row.

The strategy proposed made an efficient use of the amount of mana available, covering aspects such as: resistance against enemy damage, team support, a good offensive, and coherence with the set of rules present.

A weakness of this strategy is an enemy offensive based on physical damage only, since the effect of the "Target Practice" rule would have no effect, and the proposed strategy would not work at all.

The difference between the strategies was that the enemy used many monsters in his second row of magical and ranged type, which represented a great disadvantage for him given the circumstances of the battle.

For a proper synergy of our strategies it is important to consider all the aspects involved, so we should not only focus on the attributes and skills to combine. We must also take into account the influence of the rule sets on the strategy.
