Trip to the Cays of Falcón: The Most Beautiful Beaches in the World [Eng/Spa]

Hello travelers! I want to share my trip to two of the cays in Morrocoy National Park, Venezuela, with the most beautiful beaches I have visited.

Venezuela is known for having many beautiful beaches, and for Venezuelans, it is difficult to choose which one to visit on vacation. But without a doubt, the best choice is the beaches of Falcón state, and today I want to share a little about my trip.

Venezuela es conocida por tener muchas playas hermosas, y para los venezolanos es difícil escoger a cual ir en vacaciones, pero sin duda alguna, el mejor acierto son las playas del estado Falcón, y hoy les quiero compartir un poco de mi viaje.

Chichiriviche is one of the most common places to stay, with a great variety of prices. The place where I stayed had a pool, ideal for continuing the fun after the beach. But when it comes to sightseeing, a walk along the boardwalk is a must, where you can find places to eat and, above all, buy swimsuits.

Chichiviche es de los lugares más comunes para hospedarse, y con una gran variedad de precios, donde me hospede había piscina, ideal para seguirse divirtiendo después de la playa. Pero a la hora de turistear no puede faltar el paseo en el malecón, donde se consigue lugares para comer y sobre todo para comprar trajes de baño.

But the best part comes when you get on a boat, and they take you to the cays. The travel time varies between 10 and 25 minutes, depending on which cay you are visiting. The first was Cayo Muerto, ideal for relaxing while sitting under an umbrella on the shore, appreciating the landscape, or having fun in its clear and calm waters.

Pero lo mejor llega cuando te montas a una lancha y te llevan a los cayos, el tiempo de viaje varía entre los 10 y 25 minutos, dependiendo de cual cayo vas a visitar. El primero fue "cayo muerto", ideal para relajarse sentado bajo una sombrilla en la orilla apreciando el paisaje, o divertirse en sus agua claras y tranquilas.

The travel time to this cay is short, and when I went, there was no loud music, so it was ideal for appreciating nature. The water is clear and clean. It is worth noting that the only downside is that there are rocks underwater, so you have to be cautious. A truly beautiful experience.

El tiempo de llegada a este cayó es corto, y cuando yo fui no había música con mucho volumen, así que fue ideal para apreciar la naturaleza, el agua es clara y limpia, cabe destacar que lo único malo es que hay piedras bajo el agua, así que hay que estar precavidos. Toda una hermosa experiencia.

The next one was the famous Cayo Sombrero. The boat ride took 25 minutes, but it was totally worth it. From the moment you arrive, the color of the water impresses you—a beautiful, intense blue. You can even see different types of fish, and there is also a lot of vegetation to admire. Besides swimming for a while, many tourists walk around the cay. You can enjoy the menu offered by the vendors, and in my case, I took some time to rest and enjoy reading a book. The only slightly negative point is that, being one of the most attractive cays, there were too many people. But even so, it was totally worth it.

El siguiente fue el famoso "cayo sombrero", el tiempo en la lancha fue de 25 minutos, pero vale totalmente la pena, desde que llegas te impresiona el color del agua, un intenso azul hermoso, incluso puedes ver diferentes tipos de peces, además tiene mucha vegetación que admirar. Además de nadar un rato, muchos turistas caminan alrededor del cayo, puedes disfrutar del menú que te ofrecen los vendedores, y en mi caso descansar un poco disfrutando de leer un libro. El único punto un poco negativo, al ser uno de los cayos más atractivos, había demasiada gente, pero aún así, valió totalmente la pena.

These cays have the most beautiful beaches I have visited so far. They are two of the many gems of Falcón state and Venezuela. In these cays, you can appreciate crystal-clear and calm waters, vendors offering their crafts and delicious seafood straight from the sea. It is an ideal destination to have a great time with family, friends, or as a couple. On these trips, laughter and conversation are never missing, and they remind us of the most essential things in life, encouraging us to enjoy every moment to the fullest.

En estos cayos se encuentran las playas más bellas, que me ha tocado visitar por los momentos, son dos de las muchas joyas del estado Falcón y de Venezuela. En estos cayos puedes apreciar aguas cristalinas y tranquilas, vendedores ofreciendo sus artesanías y deliciosa comida directo del mar. Es un destino ideal para pasarla super bien en familia, cob amigos o en pareja, en este tipo de viajes no falta las risas y la charla, y nos hace recordar lo más esencial de la vida, y disfrutar al máximo de cada momento.

I sympathize with those who have not had the opportunity to visit these beautiful beaches. I definitely want to go back, and I hope I have inspired you to explore these places, always responsibly, as they are an important part of Venezuela’s culture. So remember to pick up any trash and waste when visiting these places.
