[Eng/Spa] The Best Plan: Friday Road Trip 🏞/ El mejor plan: viernes de viaje🏞

Hola hermosa comunidad de family and friends, ¿como esta terminando su semana? Espero que muy bien. Con nuestros vecinos, como es de costumbre armamos un plan para salir de casa, en esta ocasión elegimos Cubiro para pasar el rato.

Hello beautiful family and friends community! How’s your week wrapping up? I hope it’s going great. As usual, we made some plans with our neighbors to get out of the house, and this time we chose Cubiro to spend the day.

Antes de ir a directamente a Cubiro, pasamos a buscar a mi primo a su casa, y se nos unió al plan. Como siempre el camino lleno de risas y anécdotas, me emocionan mucho los viajes por eso nunca se me acaban los temas de conversación.

Before heading straight to Cubiro, we stopped by my cousin’s place to pick him up—he ended up joining the plan. The road was, as always, filled with laughter and stories. I get so excited about road trips that I never run out of things to talk about!

Desde que llegamos nos dimos cuenta de que, a diferencia de los fines de semana, que suele estar muy lleno, tanto las calles, como los lugares para comer, en esta ocasión todo estaba solo. Al llegar, estacionamos el carro y empezamos a caminar para elegir dónde comer, la verdad todos los restaurantes ofrecen muy buenas opciones y comida deliciosa, pero nos decidimos por el de siempre, un pequeño restaurante que se llama "el sazón de mi negra".

As soon as we arrived, we noticed that unlike weekends, which are usually packed, the streets and restaurants were surprisingly empty. We parked the car and started walking around to choose where to eat. Honestly, all the restaurants offer delicious food, but we went with our usual spot—a cozy little place called El Sazón de mi Negra.

Al entrar al restaurante estaba vacío, así que pudimos elegir la mejor mesa, lo que hizo la experiencia muy chevere además con la buena atención, el ambiente del lugar va muy bien con la vibra de Cubiro, es decir, se puede disfrutar de la tranquilidad sin problema. Después de ver el menú, nos decidimos por las típicas cachapas, que son parte de la razón del viaje, porque no se puede ir a Cubiro sin comer una cachapa. La comida no tardo en llegar, y pudimos degustar las cachapas, que estaban muy sabrosas, además, son super saciantes.

When we walked in, the restaurant was completely empty, so we got to pick the best table, which made the experience even nicer. The service was great, and the overall vibe matched Cubiro’s peaceful atmosphere perfectly. After checking out the menu, we went for the classic cachapas, which are half the reason we even go to Cubiro. You simply can’t go without having one! The food arrived quickly, and the cachapas were absolutely delicious—and super filling, too.

Después de terminar el almuerzo, con el estómago contento, empezamos nuestro camino hasta las lomas, que son el atractivo principal de Cubiro. Al llegar nos llevamos la sorpresa de ver lo solo que estaban las lomas, no nos costó encontrar un buen lugar con sombra para poder extender las mantas, y recostarnos un rato, aunque eso no duró mucho, porque nos quitamos los zapatos y exploramos las lomas mientras nos sacábamos fotos, incluso algunos hicieron una carrera de la que @eliudgnzlz resultó ganador, y en la segunda ronda la ganó @wbrandt

Once we finished lunch and our stomachs were happy, we started walking up to Las Lomas, the main attraction in Cubiro. We were surprised to find them almost deserted! It didn’t take us long to find a shady spot to lay out our blankets and relax for a bit... though that didn’t last long, because we kicked off our shoes and started exploring, taking photos, and even had a little race. @eliudgnzlz won the first round, and @wbrandt took the second!

Disfrutamos mucho ese rato en las lomas conversando y riendo. Antes de irnos no pude evitar pasar por un jojoto con mantequilla, ya que tenían una promo de dos por un dolar, me gustó mucho y me quito el antojo que tenia de hace tiempo, lo único negativo es que estaba un poco salado, pero cumplió su función. Y no podía faltar las fresas con crema, que estaban super ricas, con una promo de tres por 5 dolares, de mis postres favoritos de Cubiro.

We had such a great time at Las Lomas, chatting and laughing. Before leaving, I had to grab a buttered corn on the cob, especially since they had a deal—two for one dollar. It totally hit the spot, though it was a little salty. And of course, I couldn’t skip the strawberries and cream—one of my all-time favorite Cubiro treats. They were amazing, and they had a promo: three for five dollars. What a win!

Al final nos fuimos de Cubiro después de pasar una tarde genial en las lomas, y de haber comido super delicioso. Espero les haya gustado este post, tanto como a mi el viaje en grupo con amigos y familia. Me despido por los momentos hermosa comunidad, abrazos.
