Hola personas de @hivemotors, es un verdadero placer escribir aquí, en esta hermosa comunidad por primera vez, me parece increíble la manera en que muchos comparten sus consejos y experiencias, buenas y malas, lo cual me parece de mucha ayuda, ya que hay muchas personas como yo, sin mucho conocimiento del tema en motores y vehículos. Resulta y acontece, que desde hace poco tenemos un nuevo auto, y a diferencia de otros que ha tenido mi mamá, este esta bajo mi responsabilidad, dado que ya se conducir, lo cual, es algo nuevo para mi, tener una responsabilidad de esta magnitud.

It turns out that we recently got a new car, and unlike others my mom has had, this one is under my responsibility, since I already know how to drive, which is something new for me—having such a big responsibility.

Por los momentos, el auto no ha presentado ninguna falla importante, en estos meses que lo tenemos, sin embargo, el antiguo dueño nos comentó, que se le tenía que hacer cambio de aceite, así que nos pusimos a buscar distintos lugares y comparar precios. Conseguimos un buen lugar gracias a @wbrandt que nos ayudo en esta búsqueda, consiguió un lugar con el precio más económico y cercano, así que @ariwang y yo, nos dirigimos hacia el lugar.

So far, the car hasn’t shown any major issues in the months we’ve had it. However, the previous owner told us that it needed an oil change, so we started looking for different places and comparing prices. We found a good place thanks to @wbrandt who helped us in this search, found the most affordable and closest option, so @ariwang and I headed to the place.

El negocio se especializa en venta de lubricantes para motores, accesorios para autos y motos, y todo este tema, y en el mismo lugar hacen el servicio de cambio de aceite, por un costo adicional de 5 dolares. El aceite que usa el carro es de la marca Shell, mineral 20W-50, y se lleva en total 4 litros, nos salió en 60 dólares, el precio también incluye el filtro de aceite.

The business specializes in selling engine lubricants, accessories for cars and motorcycles, and all that stuff, and in the same place they do oil changes for an additional cost of 5 dollars. The oil the car uses is Shell brand, mineral 20W-50, and it takes a total of 4 liters. It cost us 60 dollars, which also included the oil filter.

Llegamos y le di las llaves al chico encargado de hacer el cambio, subió el carro en la base, para empezar a hacer su trabajo. Lo primero que hizo fue vaciar el cárter, y dejo escurrir el aceite viejo unos minutos, que por cierto, estaba de un color muy oscuro. después, retiro el filtro viejo y coloco el nuevo, por supuesto, después de lubricarlo, y con un embudo empezó a verter el aceite nuevo. Todo este proceso, fue super rapido, ya terminado el cambio de aceite, le hicieron un pequeño mantenimiento de motor, le aplicaron lubricante, y limpiaron un poco, además limpiaron el filtro del aire acondicionado.

We arrived and I gave the keys to the guy in charge of the change. He lifted the car on the base to start his work. The first thing he did was drain the oil pan and let the old oil drain out for a few minutes—which, by the way, was very dark in color. Then he removed the old filter and placed the new one, of course, after lubricating it, and using a funnel, he started pouring in the new oil. The whole process was super quick. Once the oil change was done, they did a bit of engine maintenance, applied some lubricant, and cleaned a bit. They also cleaned the air conditioning filter.

Después de todo el proceso terminado, anotaron el kilometraje del auto y lo imprimieron en una etiqueta, esto para que cuando el carro haya andado 5000 kilómetros, se le vuelva a hacer el cambio.

Espero hayan disfrutado esta experiencia tanto como yo, de antemano les pido una disculpa si cometí un error, la verdad no se mucho de carros, el poco conocimiento que tengo es gracias a mi mamá, que siempre ha tenido conocimiento del tema, y siempre nos ha enseñado lo que ha podido, sobre todo al ser mujer siempre hay mecánicos que te quieren ver la cara, y sacar provecho, así que espero ir creciendo con respecto al tema.
