A special dress for a special day/ Un vestido especial para un día especial

Not every day do I get the chance to attend important events where I can wear a pretty dress, and this time I had the opportunity. It turns out my cousin organized a small celebration to reveal the gender of the baby she's having, and she let us know ahead of time that there was a dress code—simply that everyone should wear white or beige.

To be honest, white is not my favorite color; in fact, I barely own any white clothes, so I didn’t have many options. However, my mom suggested I wear a white dress she had recently bought for me. At first, it seemed like too much for the occasion, but after thinking about it a lot, she convinced me.

The dress has a very fresh style; in fact, I bought it with the beach in mind. It’s white with black details, and the straps have some very pretty decorations. Since I had to drive for a long time, I wore flat sandals, and once I was at the party, I changed into heels. I paired it with some accessories and wore a new pair of earrings I had—very simple overall, the dress did all the work.

No todos los días se me presentan eventos importantes para lucir un lindo vestido, y esta vez tuve la oportunidad. Resulta que mi prima organizo una pequeña celebración para revelar el sexo del bebe que va a tener, con tiempo nos aviso que había dress code, simplemente que todos fuéramos de blanco o de beige.

La verdad, el blanco no es mi favorito, de echo no tengo casi ropa blanca, así que no tenia muchas opciones. Sin embargo, mi mamá me sugirió usar un vestido blanco, que me había comprado hace poco, al principio me pareció mucho para la ocasión, pero, despues de mucho pensarlo, me convencio.

El vestido tiene un estilo muy fresco, de echo lo compre pensando en la playa, es blanco con detalles negros, los tirantes tienen unos detalles muy bonitos, como tenia que manejar durante mucho tiempo me puse unas sandalias sin tacon, y ya estando en la fiesta me las cambie por unas altas. Combine con accesorios, y me puse unos zarcillos nuevos qué tenía, todo muy básico, el vestido hizo todo el trabajo.
