Helophilus pendulus

We encounter a wide variety of things in the natural environment, and the external beauty of most of them is truly delightful to behold. The beauty of various insects is a distinct part of nature's charm; indeed, diverse natural elements come together to make the natural world beautiful. Today, I am sharing a beautiful insect I spotted in the wild—one that I found truly captivating. I searched online to find its name and discovered several possibilities; among them, Helophilus pendulus stands out as a fitting name. It is an insect I am quite familiar with, and it holds a special place on my list of favorites. Because I liked it so much, I took a few photographs, which I have presented here to share with all my friends.

While walking along the road after leaving my home, I noticed some wild vegetation on the left side; amidst the weeds, I spotted this beautiful insect resting on the leaf of a climbing plant. It was a delightful sight. At first, I thought it was perched on an arum (kochu) leaf, but upon closer inspection, I realized it was actually the leaf of a vine, even though it was quite sturdy. I was captivated by the insect's natural beauty and truly enjoyed observing it firsthand. As I examined it, I noticed a blend of various colors on its body that made it look absolutely stunning. It also possessed delicate wings on either side, enabling it to fly and move from one place to another. Generally, insects of this type are often found resting on leaves or flowers.
