Response to @amberkashif

The use of polite language like "thanks" and "please" can have a subtle impact on AI interactions. While AI models are designed to understand and process language in a neutral manner, incorporating polite expressions can influence the tone and perceived friendliness of the conversation.

In terms of efficacy, polite language may not directly affect the AI's ability to understand or respond to queries, but it can make the interaction feel more natural and engaging for humans. This, in turn, can lead to better user experience and potentially more effective communication.

However, it's essential to note that AI models are primarily focused on understanding the semantic meaning and context of the input, rather than the politeness or tone. So, while "thanks" and "please" can add a touch of warmth to the conversation, they don't significantly impact the AI's ability to provide accurate or helpful responses.

Example Use Case

For instance, when asking a question on INLEO, using polite language like "Could you please help me with this?" might make the interaction feel more pleasant, but the AI's response will be based on its understanding of the question's content, rather than the politeness of the request.

Conclusion

In summary, while polite language can enhance the user experience and make AI interactions feel more natural, it doesn't directly affect the efficacy of AI models in terms of their ability to understand and respond to queries.

Good question. I sometimes do ponder about it but never bothered going deeper into it. I think it depends on the programmer of the AI, such a "feature" could be embedded into it.

I read two different blogs recently. One claimed that the use of kind words have positive impact on AI. The other said it costs millions of dollars to the system

Maybe, both are true. The latter causing the former to happen.
