Wow, I didn't know Da Vinci contributed ideas to the concept of friction. He was a real smart guy who produced ideas and inventions that were well ahead of his time. Thanks for the lesson.

I confirm that around 1490, Leonardo Da Vinci, wrote down in his notebooks some observations on the friction between solid surfaces and among the most important things that he understood at that time was the fact that he found that the friction force is proportional to the applied load !CTP
