Grayscale Perspectives
(Edited)
A series of shots from a walk through the park, captured from one of my favorite angles.
As you probably know, color is just nature's cunning plan, designed to distract the observer from the true geometry of the world. The essence of things reveals itself in shades of gray: when visual noise disappears, only pure form remains. Add a view from below to this, and an ordinary walk turns into an exploration of a new reality.
I took these shots in Peterhof — one of St. Petersburg's calling cards. However, behind the loud glory of a tourist destination lies a space where nature and man have created an abundance of geometric forms. I was always drawn to the opportunity to walk through this huge park on the shore of the bay not for the history, but for the sake of finding interesting shots. This time, I decided to shift the focus from usual patterns to searching for an unusual perspective. Hope you like it.
