A Small Drama in Four Frames
(Edited)
Rain is the great equalizer: it soaks everyone. The sparrows learned this lesson one rainy day.
The first decided the leaves were the best bunker. Priority one: secure snacks. Hiding in the branches, refusing to let go.

The second was clearly an aesthete. Chose the lamppost. If you’re gonna get wet, might as well do it with style. Also brought his own snacks.

The third figured a full stomach isn’t everything. Just huddled beneath that same lamp, wearing the look of a creature that had already made peace with reality.

The fourth clearly had prior experience negotiating with the weather. Spotted a café sign, figuring its awning offered at least a ghost of a chance to stay dry. That didn’t work.

Sitting safely in a dry hotel room watching soaked birds through the window is, admittedly, a little unfair. But that’s how life works: the rain soaks everyone equally. The shelters? Those are yours to find.

That's right, the rain soaks us all if we don't have shelter. Those birds look so cute, especially the one that took shelter on the streetlight—great idea. Best regards.
