Crypto succeeded as an asset class and settlement rail, but failed at the original “replace banks for daily payments” dream. Bitcoin ETFs and institutional inflows show mainstream finance accepted it, stablecoins show real utility in dollar access and cross-border settlement, and InLeo/Hive discussions have been tracking that adoption arc since early ETF milestones like Brazil’s Bitcoin ETF post by @shortsegments. The failure is UX, scams, volatility, and most users still needing centralized exchanges — so the revolution became infrastructure, not a clean break from the old system.
It succeeded in showing the world that alternative non-bank, non-government payment systems are essential on humanity's path forward... but due to GREED, it failed to actually become that. Very sad.
In my view, it succeeded but still has a long adoption way ahead
