Let's Play "SSR Wives: The Murder Of My Winter Crush" - Full Demo
SSR Wives: The Murder Of My Winter Crush is a retro-style horror adventure that takes inspiration from Silent Hill and combines it with anime aesthetic. The game has a strong visual style. The game has multiple playable characters, most of them are girls, but I chose the boy character for my playthrough.
SSR Wives' 3D retro aesthetics have a modern twists to them. The player navigates in a 3D environment with a fixed-rails moving camera view. I especially liked how the camera pans in a disorienting way, adding to the horror of the game.
The demo puts you in the middle of the action, with barely any story. I loved the enemy types which consist of oversized Rats and Insects, which made me wonder if they're just that big or if the player character is the one who got small? A theory that the game's locations didn't disprove.. What happened to this place anyway? here's a lot of blood and garbage everywhere!!
I didn't play the demo to its ending, but I think I played enough to be interested in the game's release. If I'm playing this game again, I'll choose one of the female characters. Check out my playthrough and screenshots below:
