Let's Play "Cosmic Star Heroine" - 12β - Casino Breakout
So, I mistakenly gave my 13th recording file the same number as the 12th, and I'm too lazy to change my file numbering, so I'll just name this one 12β. Sorry for any confusion!
Cosmic Star Heroine is a turn-based RPG set on fictional planets on space with human and alien characters. The story features a nice cyberpunk-style pixel art. The story follows Alyssa and her friends as they unravel a galaxy-wide conspiracy. As a short JRPG-styled indie project, this game is around 12-18 hours long.
The turn-based system is unique. You have certain amounts of skills you prepare before the battle, each has limited uses. Recharging skills takes a whole turn as well. Cosmic Star Heroine has many playable characters, and despite being short, the game manages to give them all strong personalities and character arcs.
The pixel art, especially the cutscenes are beautiful. Some parts of Cosmic Star Heroine were very challenging, especially near the end of the game. Though in general this game difficulty was just right. I'm excited to play the next works of this developer!
NOTE: I decided to upload this playthrough online after the fact, I didn't record it for posting. They game may sit idle for a minute or two without warning.
