LIVE SPBB DAY 1, MCGI GLORIOUS THANKSGIVING ON 6TH OCTOBER, 2023
Today thanksgiving was great it is good to always praise God for what he has done for us and not always asking from God.
"1 Thessalonian 3:9-10 Now we can give thanks to our God for you. We thank him for the joy we have in his presence because of you.10. Day and night we ask him with all our heart to let us see you personally and supply what is needed in your faith."
"1 peter 2:9 But you are the chosen race, the King's priests, the holy nation, God's own people, chosen to proclaim the wonderful acts of God, who called you out of darkness into his own marvelous light."
We are taught that God mercy is sufficient for us and that we should learn to praise and show thanksgiving to the one that has been taking care of us till now. Thanksgiving should be our act every time and nobody is too small or big to show thanksgiving. We can see that in the thanksgiving a lot of group both young and old came out to thank God for what he has done for them through presentations of songs.
"Ephesians 6:4 4. Parents, do not treat your children in such a way as to make them angry. Instead, raise them with Christian discipline and instruction."
"Mark 8:36 Do you gain anything if you win the whole world but lose your life? Of course not!"
Our children is our responsibility we should share the faith we have received with them we should teach and allow them to serve God and we should also show them by example in works too i.e by serving God and not by teaching alone. We should also learn from them, that they are small or younger than us does not mean there are things we cannot learn from them.
Our children serving God is the best service they can participate in. Service to God is more rewarding that any service they can render in this world has it brings happiness to them and it is our responsibility to teach they how to listen to God.
"Jeremiah 7:9-10 You steal, murder, commit adultery, tell lies under oath, offer sacrifices to Baal, and worship gods that you had not known before. 10. You do these things I hate, and then you come and stand in my presence, in my own Temple, and say, 'We are safe!"
We should have delight and be happy with righteousness, God is not happy with people with bad character.every power, connection, opportunity we have should be used in helping others we should always be concern about their needs.
"Philippians 4:7 And God's peace, which is far beyond human understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with Christ Jesus."
"1 peter 5:7 Leave all your worries with him, because he cares for you."
We were taught that it is good to serve God with our strength we should not wait till when we are old and weak before we start serving him. Serving God should give us joy and we should not be afraid of anything. We have a God that is bigger and can solve any of our problems he is willing and able to solve them if we walk with him he knows all our request before we pray or ask him.
