As children of God listening to the word and teaching of God is what gives us joy.

1 Peter 1:9 because you are receiving the salvation of your souls, which is the purpose of your faith in him.

What we are looking for or aiming at the end of our salvation is for us to be save, God has promised those that hold their salvation with diligent and faith to save their soul. Alot of people accept the salvation of Jesus Christ but due to the battles, problems and pleasures of this world they abandon it. We should never deny the faith and salvation we received due to any reason.

Psalm 119:34. Explain your law to me, and I will obey it; I will keep it with all my heart.

Romans 10:17 So then, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message comes through preaching Christ.

The only way we can keep the salvation We have received and be saved is through the gospel i.e the word of God. If we remain in the gospel that was preach we are save. There are faith that are in vain and faith unto salvation. When we listened to false doctrines, teaching and the devil our faith is unto vain because it cannot save us the only teaching that can save us are the truth teaching and doctrines of our Lord Jesus Christ for this we have to be careful of the church we attend, pastor or prophet we listen to, doctrine and word of God we accept.

3 John 1:11 My dear friend, do not imitate what is bad, but imitate what is good. Whoever does good belongs to God; whoever does what is bad has not seen God.

Hebrew 4:12. The word of God is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword. It cuts all the way through, to where soul and spirit meet, to where joints and marrow come together. It judges the desires and thoughts of the heart.

We should not ignore the word of God, if a word comes from God it brings power, listening to the word of God will work for us because there is not a single word of God is does not contain power. we should keep what is good and stay away from evil.

Ephesians 6:4 Parents, do not treat your children in such a way as to make them angry. Instead, raise them with Christian discipline and instruction.

Parents should try all their best to send their children to school and also teach them the word of God. We should show good example and the importance and reason to fear God. Parents should not teach their children evil.

*Matthew 5 :7. Happy are those who are merciful to others; God will be merciful to them!

When we are merciful, it means God spirit dwell in us and we are fulfilling his word. Mercy is what every individual needs daily the only difference is that the mercy each person need is different from each other. When we are opportune to show mercy we should do it with immediate effect. Mercy is doing good.

James 2:14 My friends, what good is it for one of you to say that you have faith if your actions do not prove it? Can that faith save you 15. Suppose there are brothers or sisters who need clothes and don't have enough to eat. 16. What good is there in your saying to them, God bless you! Keep warm and eat well!---if you don't give them the necessities of life?

We should learn to give and meet people at their point of need and not hiding under religion. When we see our brother in need of something that we have we should give them and not pray for them. We should only pray when the power to meet their needs is not in our capacity that God should send helpers to them.
