My Cleaning Activity For Tuesday 12th of March, 2024

Good day everyone, welcome to my blog. I hope we are all doing great.I went to school again on Tuesday,I went for my second test. The lecturers are rushing, they are all trying to conduct their own test first .
All the students are reading in the lecture Theatre.The place was about noisy ,so I had to look for a secluded place to read my book.I later got a place around the University football Field.I cleaned one of the seats and sat down,that was when I noticed the surroundings was littered with different plastics,polythene, wraps of biscuits, wraps of sweets, papers, sachet of water etc. I went for the test when I saw that it was almost time.
I came back to the field to clean it up before going back home.The environment became clean and habitable to live.

The presence of solid waste in poses several environmental threats to life. Firstly, the piles of waste by the road, streams, and rivers leads to clogged drainage systems. This can result in flooding during the rainy season as the water cannot properly flow through the blocked drains.

Public awareness and education campaigns on proper waste disposal methods are very important to change people's behaviour and encourage responsible waste management practices. More so, initiatives to promote recycling and composting can help reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfills or dumped in open spaces.

By tackling the issue of solid waste, we can improve environmental conditions, protect public health, and create more attractive and viable city.
