My Cleaning Activity For Thursday,14th of March, 2024.
Good afternoon everyone, welcome to my blog. I hope we are all doing great. Today I carried out my cleaning activity on a rice farm. This farm is a water-logged area. One cannot come to this farm without a farm boot during the rainy season because the place will be waterlogged, but today the rains are yet to come. There is a severe drought on the farm. I went around the Rice field picking the waste, such as polythene, plastics, wraps of biscuits and wraps of sweets.
This farm is for one of my uncles. I came to his farm to learn how to plant rice. We needed to prepare the farm for another planting season. We noticed the weather was windy and drizzling. It seemed the rain was about to pour. We quickly carried out our cleaning and loosing of the soil. To optimize the quality of the soil, farmers often practice techniques like crop rotation and green manuring. which represents depletion of specific nutrients, reducing the risk of pest and disease buildup. Green manuring involves growing specific crops and ploughing them back into the soil as organic matter, enhancing its fertility.
We needed to prepare the soil for optimum yield, this is the most important part of the pre-planting process. The farm was clean and ready for the planting process. The rain later fell in the evening, the whole environment became cool.
These pictures show how I did my cleaning.
As my blog continues to grow, please continue to support and engage me.
