My Cleaning Activity For Sunday, 24th of March, 2024.
Good morning my fellow Hivers, welcome to my blog. This Sunday morning I woke up early to prepare for church. The day was filled with so many activities that I almost forgot to carry out my activity. I had to mark the script of the students I was teaching, as soon as I was done in the evening I went around my community to carry out my cleaning for the day.
During the rainy season, it is important to take preventive measures to minimize erosion and ensure the proper flow of water. One of the essential steps is to unclog our drains. Here are some actions to take:
Remove debris: Begin by removing any debris, such as fallen leaves, branches, or trash, from the surrounding areas of the drain. This will help prevent further blockages.
Use drain covers: Install drain covers or grates at the entrances of the drains to prevent larger items from entering the system. These covers will stop polythene, papers, and other troublesome waste from clogging the drains.
Educate and raise awareness: Spread awareness within your community about the detrimental effects of improper waste disposal. Encourage everyone to dispose of their trash properly in designated trash cans or recycling bins. Explain that throwing items like polythene, plastic bottles, papers, and wrappers into the gutter can lead to drainage blockages and serious environmental consequences.
By practicing these steps, we can ensure that our drains remain unclogged, allowing for the smooth flow of water and preventing erosion. Let's take responsibility for our actions and contribute to a cleaner and safer environment.
These pictures show how I did my cleaning.
