My Cleaning Activity For Saturday, the 17th of February, 2024

Good evening everyone, welcome to my blog.Today was a great day as always,I had the privilege to rest very well today.I have been very busy throughout the week.I carried out my cleaning this evening, because I had to go for the workers meeting at the church today.
Today I would like to discuss the sea dumping process of refuse.

Ocean dumping, as per the legal definition, encompasses the act of disposing of various substances such as garbage, sewage, waste chemicals, and construction debris into the ocean. Numerous regulations and controls are in place to govern this practice. However, despite these measures, hazardous materials are still being dumped into the sea, both through legal channels by tankers and ships, as well as through illegal activities in coastal waters.

The dumping of hazardous materials, including toxic chemicals and pollutants, poses significant threats to marine ecosystems, human health, and the overall environment. These substances can contaminate water, harm marine life, disrupt ecosystems, and potentially enter the food chain, affecting both aquatic organisms and humans who consume seafood.

To combat such practices, many international agreements and regulations have been established to regulate ocean dumping. Additionally, regional bodies such as the European Union and national authorities have implemented laws and regulations to combat illegal dumping and enforce penalties against offenders.

Efforts are also being made to promote more environmentally friendly waste management practices, such as recycling and proper disposal of hazardous materials on land. Additionally, advancements in technology and waste treatment methods have helped mitigate the need for ocean dumping.

Nevertheless, the illegal dumping of hazardous materials into coastal waters remains a challenge due to factors such as weak enforcement, lack of surveillance, and the high profitability of illicit activities. Efforts are ongoing at the global, regional, and national levels to strengthen regulations, improve monitoring, and increase penalties in order to deter and penalize those engaging in illegal ocean dumping.

Overall, while the legal definition of ocean dumping exists and measures are in place to regulate it, the challenges posed by both legal and illegal dumping of hazardous materials in the ocean necessitate continued efforts and cooperation to ensure effective control and prevention of marine pollution.

I was happy for the privilege to keep the planet clean. The sea dumping process is one of the methods of refuse disposal but has lots of disadvantages and should be discouraged.

Let's choose a more friendly method of refuse disposal,to save our planet from spoliation.

These pictures show how I did my cleaning.
